I currently am having an issue with the engine acting as if it has air in the fuel system . I have notice it does'nt seem to do it when the tank is filled to the top. Has anyone had problems with the fuel pickup in the tank ? It also does the same when you are facing downhill or any angle that makes the gauge read about 3/4.Just looking for any info .

Sounds like maybe the fuel lift pump is not working... the injector pump is getting fuel by gravity flow when tank is full, tractor is level.
The lift pump, (usually you hear it ticking fast when you turn key on before starting) is under the floor board between fuel tank & engine.

We found the second fuel filter. The filter under the fenders between the tank and pump had never been changed. 600 hrs. We didn't even know it was there.When the tank was full it must have had enough weight to feed the pump . The worst part is that it isn't even listed in the manual. Thanks for the reply Pete.

You would have to check the fuel sensor in the the tank. To get to the senor you would have to remove ROB and fender to remove tank. My sensor had rust all over it kept clogging the filter. cleaned inside of tank and replaced sensor and keep fuel tank full haven't had problem since. I use Seafoam and diesel additive when I fill my cans.
