Buying a new subcompact tractor

A tractor with a 60" MM would be ideal for your acreage, a riding mower will take all day. I use my FEL to raise up the tractor to clean under the deck and it works great. Only time I take my MM off is during the winter months. You'll love the Kubota, for its size it is a work horse. Good luck!
I hope you block it or use jack stands while you do this.

Yes, a 60" is what I was looking at. I was wondering about cleaning the mower. My wife insists we clean the D140 after every cut. We used an ATV lift to get under it but the Kubota would be too heavy for that. Any worries about the hydraulics holding when you are under it? I suppose you could used jack stands of some sort.

Keep the D140 and get a partner to help once you get a SCUT with MMM. Then you will finish really quickly! My parents each have a rider and they finish a few acres in no time.

I know some one who has his and hers riding mowers and they’d both knock out the mowing really quick and have fun while doing it. Great idea.

It's hard to beat a 60 inch shaft drive belly mower powered by a diesel with cruise control..

I suspect the zero turn would be faster but less versatile.

If you were to buy a commercial zero turn I would say that is true. Zero turns are good at one thing and that's about it.. My sister has a huge Kubota zero turn that she uses to cut 5 acres, works great for that but very uncomfortable, If I was to purchase a zero turn it would be a Ferris with four wheel suspension..

Great idea, assuming I could get the wife on the D140.

I have a 60 inch deck on my BX. I had a riding mower with a 54 inch deck. I sold it because I never used it. I liked mowing with the BX that much more.

Made the deal on the Kubota BX2380. Should have it soon. Ordered the 60" drive over mower, quick connect bucket with bolt on cutting edge, ballast box, and some extra lights. Looking forward to trying it out on my property.
Thanks everyone for the advice and assistance.
