While fabricating a replacement for the hydraulic side link cylinder I originally made about 8 years ago...I inadvertently welded the top yoke (cylinder end) with the angle 180* out from the correct orientation with the hose ports...

Thus, rather than cutting it off and re-welding it (a PITA to keep it cool) I'm going to put it on the left side where it will work fine...no problem with hose or other interference...Is there anything I'm missing as far as complications?...I know some operators elect to have hydraulic cylinders on both sides so I don't anticipate any issues but just thought I would check if I'm missing anything.

If I just reverse the cylinder and keep it on the right side I would have to cut a section of the PTO guard plate to prevent it from interfering with the top port and hose etc...

I can not think of any reason it would not work. Some older farm tractors had adjustable link on both sides.

I would do the same exact thing to solve the problem.

If you are a habitual user, you will probably move it the wrong way for a while. Reverse the hoses?

Unless I'm missing something entirely unforeseen...the only thing I anticipate is switching which valve the side link will be connected to...I have a single spool on the left side that has been connected to the top link...on the right side I have a two spool that the side link was connected to...so to be able to use the hoses I have I will have to get used to the controls for the T&T being reversed...!

Habitual user?
Ha !...Being on basically the side of a mountain where there are few if any natural flat spots...most of the work I do the side link is invaluable it is constantly being adjusted...I use it for everything: box blade, ls rake, rear blade, tiller, 3ph forks etc...have not really been able to get anything done since the original cylinder started leaking faster than I could add oil so I took it off...
