Bx-2670 no dash lights, will turn over but not start

Was mowing fine and then, puff. It stalled out and won't start again although turning over. Also, no dash lights. Jumped it to no avail. Turns over but won't start. Electrical fuel issue? What to do?

It sounds like your fuel shutoff solenoid died.

Is there any clicks when you turn the tractor off? Usually my BX2200 does it about 20 seconds after switching it off.

Check the fuses.. the 15 amp fuse labeled RELAY & the sol. fuse..

I was thinking.. that sol. is energized to shut off.. not run..
SO if theres NO POWER to the solenoid, it wont shut off.. hmmm.

Yup. Found it - fuse. Replaced. Up and running. Thanks.

Yep, easy fix, but why? Now you are aware, there may be a problem looming, rubbed through/chaffed wire, rodent damage, solenoid drawing too much current. So if it happens again, start having a good look around before just replacing the fuse.

Good suggestions 100TD.. those solenoids get "gooped up & gummy" after awhile & draw a lot of current.. probably be a good idea to put some hands on it & check it..

Yes. Why? Previous in the week, my wife had taken the Bx out of the garage and left the ignition on. She doesn't understand. Hours later I tried to start the tractor, and the battery was dead. Jumped it and got it going. I'm thinking that the fuse may have been weakened by being used for so many hours. We'll see. I have instructed my wife - that's fixed.
