Encouraging rural folks to be informed of critical status of South African farmers

We were in RSA in 2003 and again in 2013. The crime against whites was very much on the rise in 2013. One of our guides had his grandparents murdered. They raped the grandmother in front of the grand dad and then killed them both. We have a friend that's a 3rd generation South African in the Limpopo region and I fear his future livelihood is not secure.

There are many places that have troubles, the answer is to either wipe out the problem or the problem will never go away.. When was the last time Iraq was on the news? Africa is run by a bunch of animals, there is only one way to deal with the people that do the things they do. Disturbingly high sexual assault, rape and murder statistics makes most people stay clear of that place with good reason..

The land grab is an ancient instinct of the government 'animal' regardless of continent. It is appealing to them because the power isn't real unless it gets used. Land grabbing destroys political enemies while enrichment of allies.

The instinct is so strong that the lessons of modern land grabbing are ignored.

I have posted a link to a documentary on the status of farmers in South Africa. So far, attempts to get refugee status for these people has not succeeded and is being opposed by the media, the UN and many nations, like NZ and Australia. I made the actual posting on the "Friendly Politics" forum, but it seems only a small part of the forum membership views that forum. Not too surprising given the theme of the majority of threads there.

Unless these people are permitted to go to different host countries, the likelihood of a "real" genocide is very high indeed. I would encourage folks to watch the documentary and consider whether more should be done for them vs any of the other refugee groups in the world.

I watched this last night; very scary, to say the least, if you are white and living in South Africa.

One can agree or disagree, but here are a couple of surprising takes on life in Africa. Especially considering the worldview of the sources:

Atheists credit Christianity - creation.com

Good article. Amazing how someone can come to the conclusion that Christianity fixes the issues but still not believe.

I launched the video and learned it has a run time of 1 hour and 12 minutes. Ahhh ...

Same realization as plowhog. Can't do it - I'm on satellite IP. I just don't know - - so many parts of the world are "a lost cause" because of corrupt politics.

Unfortunately - - there is a feeling that the USA may be heading in that direction also.

Ignorance is bliss. They will eventually destroy the infrastructure, the culture, the institutions...and purge the expertise and the knowledge and go down the **** hole that is the majority of Africa. It will be like putting a guy used to paddling a canoe in charge of a nuclear submarine.

So many parts of the world are "a lost cause" because of corrupt politics.

So true. Lost causes that could be rich and beautiful if they knew liberty, justice and freedom from tyranny.

A college roommate of mine was from South Africa and he would come to tears telling me about what his family was going through there. And I also have dear friends from Rhodesia that now live in Australia. They can't tell you anything about their flight from their normal life and careers there without breaking down in tears.

I wish Americans could see how slippery the trap of government control and corruption can be. Those people were just like us. :(
