Boot Sole Repair - Shoe GOO ???

I 2nd the 5200.. AND its made for wet locations.
I've used it on/in my boat & that stuff is GREAT.. its permanent tho..
"Slather it on" & clamp it in a vise.. done.
A "shoe place" would only charge you about 7.00 to fix it tho..

I 3rd the 5200, and this Loctite is the same but much cheaper, I've fixed mx boots and gashes in tires with this.

---------------------------------- but the absolute best stuff for really tough use repairs IMO is 3M 5200...it's polyurethane and just about indestructible... entirely water proof...it's not cheap, it does come in black...

It's primary use is as a marine sealant but it works equally well for many different applications...be sure to read and follow the directions and precautions...

Yep, good stuff.

3 years ago was backing up in the woods, heard a pop from the right front. A stick had punctured the boot.

Used the White, so I could keep an eye on it, still sealed now:

That stuff aint cheap tho.. & its basically a one time use.. The next time you need it, it'll be hard.

Update: Boot Sole Repair - Shoe GOO ???

Thought I'd come back to this thread and report that I did use 'Shoe Goo' back in August when I started this thread. It's now December and the soles on the boots are still firmly adhered to the boot. These boots get a good amount of use and the Shoe Goo seems to be holding well. Tube of the stuff was about $4 at Walmart.
