Whatever product you decide on be sure to read the warnings etc...
I think most recommend allowing for a full cure of a slab before sealing...

Safety glasses and rubber gloves etc etc. ya I know but some get careless.
Sometimes just a tiny bit of sealer on the bottom of a boot can be like ice skating.

This is the response I got back from Ghostshield when I asked about this product. Very good info.

Thanks so much for contacting Concrete Sealer Supply about sealing the floor in your new pole barn.

The first thing you will want to do is wait the full 28 days until the concrete has fully cured. If it was power troweled you may have to do an etch with our Hydro-Etch 1001 product just to open up the surface pores so that the Ghostshield products can sink in and preform properly. If the concrete was left with some texture or is a broom finish, it is more than likely porous and the etching would not be necessary.

The floor should be clean of any oils or any type of debris that can interfere with the penetration of the sealer.

Siloxa-Tek 8505 is a water carried product with 40% actives that protects against freeze-thaw, mold/mildew, efflorescence, water intrusion and de-icing salt damage, plus has added fluorocarbons to resist oils and staining. That being said, oil stains should be cleaned up in a reasonable amount of time. Those left on the surface overnight or for a succession of days may still leave some mild discoloration when cleaned up.

On a 1,500sf surface, you would need 2 gallons of Siloxa-Tek 8500 ultra concentrate @ $254.88 ea. = $509.76 with zero sales tax and free shipping within the contiguous US.

depending on your timeframe for completing the project, we also recommend that Lithi-Tek 4500 concrete strengthener/densifier/primer be applied before the Siloxa-Tek 8505. Lithi-Tek 4500 penetrates into the pores and capillaries of the concrete to grow a crystal structure within that strengthens the concrete by 50% and also reduce its porousness, thereby reducing its ability to absorb ground moisture hydrostatically down the road. It痴 not only very economical, it is also a great primer for a waterproofing sealer and allows you to get a bit more square footage out of your sealer. It is a one time only product that lasts the lifetime of the concrete. $69.88 for a concentrated gallon will cover up to 1000sf.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if you would like to proceed with an order.

I look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

Marie

I hear ya !! I have the lumber order for the loft I need to build. I wrote back and asked if you can do this in sections. Once you move in you don't want to move it back out !!!

I’d build the loft now while your waiting on the cure time, as long as your not using anything with fuels, oil, or grease you’ll be fine. Dirt and dust will clean out easy.

Wait for months or years to be able to build a structure that one desires. Then often times several weeks at best waiting for the builder to show up and get the project finished. Then get in a hurry on the concrete sealing..........
Lots of types of work can still be done while waiting on the cure. Electrical, framing, plumbing, etc. the cure time will pass quicker than one might expect. The nice easy to clean surface that will last for years should be worth the wait.
Best of luck :)
