Well - it really doesn't matter what I or other say - - it DOES look very nice. Besides - I was more interested in what your response would be............

Looks very nice. I suspect either getting ready to sell the ranch OR a man with too much time on his hands.

My Yard -???? Well, picture one and a half acres of tan - dead field grass - liberally punctuated with various sizes of pocket gopher digs. I've also depicted my yard as - a practice field for the US Army - Light Infantry - Mortar brigade. But come the fall rains - it all greens up before the winter snows and doesn't look quite so bad.
Lol. Need to have a gopher hunt! My neighbors yard is literally a practice field for the Army Mortar and Tank brigade. (Ft.Knox battle training camp is my neighbor)

Unfortunately - I live out where there is an unlimited supply of pocket gophers - waiting in the wings. I trap one - they draw straws - you got the short straw?? - WELL, COME ON DOWN - we have an open spot just for you. Right out here in Oosik's side yard. I have a neighbor getting barn cats for me - they have been the answer in the past - they will be my salvation when they arrive. Big owls - barn & great horned and coyotes brought my cat population down to zero. Familiarity breeds contempt - they eventually venture too far afield at night.

Wow! How often do you experience a "4th of July" event? I would imagine most any domestic animal would go berserk when that is in full operation.

A couple times each month. You can even feel the percussion sometimes. The night training is the worst when trying to sleep....but it's not as frequent. It's the sound of freedom...so I'm quite okay with it!

A friend lives right next to the RR tracks. The train going by shakes his house. He has lived there 40+ years and says he seldom notices.

I lived in a house two doors up from a grade crossing for a while. After the first two nights hearing the Amtrak go by at midnight, I never heard again. The only time the trains would wake me was when the lumber yard on the far side of the crossing was loading/unloading on their spur, the crossing gate bells ringing and headlight pointed at my pillow the whole time.

The C5A's doing "low and slow" ridge hopping suddenly going to full throttle right over the house were more annoying.

It does look better than my yard... Note to self: after filling up the fourwheeler sprayer with RM43 to keep the gravel weed free....let tires dry before drive in the yard View attachment 568128View attachment 568129

gravel looks great!

I too am guilty of the wet tires.....I have a set of tracks like that across my back yard. Wait, did you come visit and I wasn't home???
