I don't care what flavor you buy, all dealers are out for one thing.........your money.

So is Walmart, Amazon, and everyone else trying to make a buck. What's your point?

Some dealers decide to make their money word of mouth sales and doing the right thing when you have issues, rather than big time advertising and selling something they know they'll usually never see or touch again!

First off, this is not a tractor comparison question.
I'm in Randolph county and I'm in the market for my first tractor. One of the things that keeps coming up in threads is buy the dealer, buy the dealer, buy the dealer. Within I'll go ahead and say that I'm not going JD because they are really proud of their equipment or Branson because they don't have any other dealers around.
Thanks for any help you guys give me.

You generally pay for what you get. Why is it that most people compare their tractors with John Deere. They must have something to be proud of it seems.

In our area, there is a huge JD conglomerate and pretty much only place for any yellow JD parts or service - they do the green stuff too, but don't know if there are other JD ag dealers outside of that group. Trying to stay within forum rules about dealer bashing, but they are horrible enough that regardless of how awesome a JD machine might be, not worth dealing with them. They actually steer smaller businesses and individuals to other brands by the way they treat any <$1M customer. My experiences with them were so awful, that alone made JD NEVER appear on my list of brands to shop. If I get into another construction type machine down the road, even though I'll be buying it used, it won't be JD just because I know how next to impossible it will be to get it dealer serviced. I've talked to many others in this area that had same issue with same dealer group. So I have nothing against JD machines, but a huge red flag for the JD dealer conglomerate locally.

Reedy Creek Equipment, Inc. - Home If Kioti interesting to you.

Smaller shop, talk with Matthew - not whoever answers phone. Competitive on prices, very upfront and honest. At first glance appears to be a hole in the wall vs a large Kubota dealership - definitely not as fancy. But don't judge a book by cover type situation - fantastic to work with by any measure. I could go on for a full page on how great my buying experience was with them, but will sum it up with this to illustrate his character: Every conversation about "this vs that" absolutely 0 negative to say about any other brand or dealer. When someone can just highlight the benefits of his shop and line without running others down I think that really says a lot about them.

Add another for Reedy Creek.

We're over 100 miles away and he had a better deal than a closer dealer & was great to work with. We ended up on their lot on a Saturday when he was short handed AND trying to prep / move equipment for the Fair but he was still patient and took time to answer questions, let us test drive, etc.

I agree totally. There those who want to make it on the sale only and offer nothing else. Then are those who want to make some each time you need something...those are the type you want. They want to serve you fairly to keep your LONG term business.

Bought my Mahindra in Henderson, good dealer. Good price as well as covering the first 2 service's (including transport).

I use Quality in Durham or Roxboro for all my JD related parts.

Satisfied with both dealers.
