New rear blade :0

Well, I did it. I bought me a LandPride RBT 4596 for my M7060. I was looking for a used one for quite some time with no luck. Here in the Bay Area, CA we sure have it rough sometimes, slim pickins. ;( I had to pay **** near retail, but I have it now and it's mine. Just wait, one will show up for now for much less. Anyways, got some learnin' to do with this thing as I haven't used one much before.

Very nice. That is in the same weight class as my Rhino 950 - 96" - 1100#. Only mine is all manual. When I upgraded to my Kubota M6040 - I got a Land Pride RB3596 @ 566#. It proved to be simply too light to cut into my mile long gravel driveway in the summer. After spring rains my driveway set up just like concrete.

I know what you had to pay for that thing - Lord - when you get into class 2 and or 3, the price of implements hits the moon. I've been out here in the boondocks now for 36+ years. You know - in all that time - not one single implement of any size, shape or stripe that would be of any use to me. I put my Land Pride rear blade on local Craig's List and it sold - cash - high dollar - within one hour after hitting the list. Wish I had half a dozen more to sell.

So....... don't feel alone. I just learned looooong ago - bite the bullet and buy it big and buy it new.

The learning curve for a rear blade is fairly long - BUT - if you do as I did and get a hydraulic top link - it sure makes learning a whole lot quicker and easier. With a hydraulic top link - its adjustment on the go - no stop, dismount, twist-twist-twist, get back up, try it - stop again, dismount - - you get the idea.

With a hydraulic top link you do not have to accept - "well, darn, that's good enough". You just keep tapping that lever and you can tune the new rear blade into to a fine cutting implement.

I'm confused. 3 double-acting cylinders, but do I only see 4 hydraulic lines that connect to tractor?
What's the module/block on top that has a lot of lines going in and out?

Manual diverter would be my guess. :confused3:

I see an octopus perched on top of that rear blade. I see TWO hydraulic hoses going to the tractor and some sort of hydraulic diverter. Either manually or ??? divert flow to the three control cylinders. And if I squint, real hard, I think I see a hydraulic top link in the bottom picture.

He has a complete top & tilt set from me. :thumbsup:

CobyRupert, I have 3 remotes on the tractor, and that is a manual selector valve on the blade. When I save a little bit more I'll go with Brian's electric diverter valve kit to add 2 more outlets for a total of 5.

I already had his TopNTilt cylinders. Very nice quality from what I had before (gearmore)
