Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Nice!

I see you guys don't mess around ... buy your beer a pallet at a time! :)
Heck yeah! Twisted Tea for the wife and Corona for me. And we add moonshine in for a good mix. And Tito's vodka... and the Captain...

Did they ever start restocking the tires and trailer lights that had been pulled for not being DOT compliant? I never had a problem with any of what I bought.
The LED trailer lights are pretty good.

I bought a pair of 12" mounted tires a few weeks ago.

I've thought about building an ultralight 4x 10 utility trailer to pull with my Subaru, using two braked axles with 6.00 x 12 C tires since those are rated around 1k lbs each. I don't want the trailer any wider than the car to minimize wind resistance, hence the narrow tires. Comments anyone?

Here's another Harbor Freight winner. It's a 10" solid rubber tire that is the same size as the pneumatic ones that go flat all the time. This one won't go flat.

On my generator with wheels, for example, every time I used it the tires were flat and that added a whole new dimension of trauma to using the generator. I swapped out the tires and tubes, added a couple washers for spacers and now am good to go with these solid tires. One point is that some applications are harder to make work because you might need to shorten an axle or something.

They are $8--before coupon--and that's a deal. Throw in a free tarp or flashlight and I'm a happy camper. Link below.

I put them on my generator about 4 years ago. No more flats!

We should re-hash some of the winners from the 10 years and 10,000 posts this thread has been around. Who's going to read through all that? Lots of good stuff was mentioned along the way that new people here don't know about. In those 10 years a lot has happened.

Thank you to Travelover for starting the thread.

That's a fundamental weakness of vBulletin, the software used by this and many other boards. It was never written to create a traceable, usable history on a topic, and it lacks a competent search feature. A workaround to search is to use Google search: '[topic] site:tractorbynet.com' but that's only slightly better. vBulletin is written for discussion in the present moment but it sucks as an archiving tool.

Aha! Those might be the ticket I am looking for... I put the inflatables on my Plywood and Sheets storage cart I built. They all went flat... so I slimed them. They all went flat again! I wonder if they are hard enough to stay round after sitting long periods?

I have. When I came on TBN I made it a point to read the IMPORTANT threads I was interested in and this was one of them.
Thanks Travelover!

This is one of my early posts in the thread:

I need one of those!
Then with my Dremel I can do my own dentistry easier.
That was back around post #536.
So in the past 8 years I believe I've at least glanced at every post. And I often come back to review parts of the thread before major jaunts to HF.

But part of the problem is that HF changes their items and what was good one year is crap the next.
