GC 2310 motor change

My concern is with the the injectors and injector pump, I just dont know enough to check them, had one mechanic pull them out and spray test them, we turned it over and they sprayed. I thought it had run out of fuel at first but that didnt seem to be the case, went thru and cleaned out the fuel system anyway. sometimes when it thinks it wants to start it just stops dead in its spin. I had thoughts of jumped timing but believe its all gear driven. the deeper I dug the more questions I had, till I just kind of gave up on it. Im at that point now where I have to do something. Looking in the area for Diesel mechanic that can work on these little things. I never had any problems before this. Its been a great little tractor
Cylinder number 2 has probably galded I'll bet you, if it's stopping in its tracks. I think the injector pump is the least of your worries at this point, but get your injectors tested. Heat does funny things to them. There are .5mm and 1.0mm oversize piston kits available. You just gotta find a mechanic who can "stick with it" and get her going. If the compression results show a weak cylinder, the next best thing to do is pull the head and the oil pan to investigate the trouble. At the worst, you might have a cracked head. I've seen this happen. My local machine shop said the only way they can't fix it was if the precombustion chamber was cracked. If it's cracked, that means a new head. This thing can be repaired to be like new. I do wish you luck finding another e3112 for a good deal. But if you rebuild yours, you know what you got.

The dealer has closed its doors and next choice is very proud of themselves, and not really interested. The center cylinder has some scratches but I really didn't think they were that devastating, for a gas engine I wouldn't worry, I know diesels have a higher compression don't know the effects. The compression tests really were not consistent to get a firm number, just didn't know what else to do but pull the head and check it out. I can overhaul and rebuild gas motors, just don't understand or have the test equipment for injectors or the injector pump, I am going to spend some time looking for more local services in the Central Florida area. Thank you for your input. I will update as I make progress

Id check the valve clearence. If they check out then id pour a little motor oil on top of the piston or spray a lot of wd40 on it. Let it sit there about a hour. Leave the glow plug or injector out of that cylinder. Turn it over by hand. Then turn then engine over with the key. Reinstall the glow plug or injector. A bad valve or one not opening right will cause compression loss. Hope this helps you some.
