More than once, lately I've wanted to paraphrase Col Jessup in "A Few Good Men" and scream the following at the fools kneeling during the National Anthem:
Son, you choose to kneel when the National Anthem is played. You have that luxury because of men and women who's existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, gave you that fredom. You don't want to admit it but deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want them out there defending your rights. You need them out there defending your rights. They use words like honor, code, loyalty. They use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain this to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that they provide, and then questions the manner in which they provide it! I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a ****** what you think you are entitled to!
