Is Rock and Roll dead. Part 2.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like the Youtube catalog is also shrinking. I often like to listen to music which you don't hear on the radio; yet several songs which I used to listen to are no longer available. on the other hand I am able to find some old, OLD TV shows; I finally found out what "Kemo Sabe" means.

I'm not dialed-in enough to know what Y's marketing plan is..... but sometimes is just a recent right's issue/legal action driving visibility. Artist's material (living or dead) changes ownership, newcorp's Legal beagles are let loose....

I don't try and narrow it to an artist on this site; I usually fire up Accuradio in a specific genre and let it go. It's been around a long time..... ton's of other net choices now. Audio only..... listening right now 90's Alt Rock.....

I recently acquired a really high end stereo system. Have been looking for stuff that really shines with a good system.

In rock music, I've always been a fan of the sound on Yes' 90125 album. Very wide frequency range on that album.

In not rock music ...

Any pipe organ recordings. A now-defunct local classical station used to issue a "Woofer and Tweeter Alert" before playing any organ music. I recommend JS Bach Complete Organ Works as recorded by George Ritchie (on American organs).

Also, any recording of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture that uses real cannons.

I think I mentioned it here before, but I'll mention it again....

I knocked over several members of the band YES and made them spill their drinks on themselves. Then I ate their shrimp and ribs. :licking:
