If I start a thread what is the time period I can edit a title?
It always seemed shorter than to edit a post.

And what is the time frame before it shows a post has been edited?

It seems I've 15 minutes before it reflects the post has been edited.

Re: What is the time frame to edit a thread title? 5 minutes?

I just did a title edit using the Advanced option. (palm to forehead)

Might have been a couple of minutes after the original send. No clue as to the Max time...

Yup, I've been playing around with this, up to 12 minutes, so far.

But I just noticed the title in the reply stopped updating after 5 minutes.
Is that affected by the first reply by CalG?

You can also delete posts and threads but I haven't figured the time limit on it.

You can get your thread title changed by the admin, or move the thread to the most viable forum, etc.

IIRC, its 24 hours to edit a post and 7-10 minutes to not have it show that you edited it.

Thanks, and as for "editing typos in the title" which was the stimulus for this thread, is here a time limit or is it until there is a response?

I am not sure, I would suspect that it is 24 hours, but I could be wrong (and it doesn't always change the titles on the responses even if you do it right after you post).

I'm trying to think of why someone would not want someone to know that they've edited their post. Probably obvious but what am I missing?
