3 pt boom pole suggestions....

I'm looking to get a boom pole. I see they are various capacities. WOuld it be better to get the 1000/2000 capacity or is the 500/1000 sufficient? I know more is usually better but in this case, do most of you find the "lighter weight" pole is enough? Is attaching the heavier one substantially more difficult?
To be honest, I don't really know what specifically I will be moving but I can see that it would be a handy addition to my tractor. I am slowly building my inventory as I am new to this kind of stuff

What are 3PH lift capabilities (pound wise)... Might be a bit dollar foolish to buy something way over rated as to what 3PH can handle.... Then again the safety fudge factor of having a stout boom may be a plus....

Remember as you move load out beyond range of 3PH capabilities the weigh hitch is capable of lifting diminishes....

I went with the TSC (Tarter) HD pole just to be safe. If I remember right it was a bit longer than the light one which was important to me since I use it to lift a canopy off my truck.

Got a post hole digger? I've used that.

I went to Tractor Data . com and your tractor isn't listed. Say for a 45 hp your capacity is 3000#...probably pretty close on that guess. A 10' gin pole could lift 300#. A 2 ⅜" Schedule 40 steel pipe with no bracing would handle that, would show a slight bend but would handle it. A 2 ⅞ would handle it. I have one of those that I slid over my hay spike before I had a tractor with a FEL.

I estimate half writing here and ordering new tractors opt for at least two 5/16" FEL bucket chain grab hooks.

5/16" chain grab hooks and 5/16" or 1/4" Grade 70 chain allows you to lift most objects to the lifting capacity of your Loader.

A boom pole, however, doubles as a satisfactory Chain Harrow lift. Considering a garden?

I estimate that 100% of those using those chain hooks can't see what they are doing through the front of the tractor and the bucket itself...
...With a boom pole you can see exactly what you're doing and exactly where the load is...

LS site states 2755 lift cap.

I think that may be the way to go for me too.....unless I come across a crazy good deal on a lighter version, I'll save my pennies and buy the better one first and it should last forever...
