Good morning all, 49 going to 57 with a 30% chance of am showers. Tonight they are calling for our first night of 30's with a low of 37. Well today we are going to close the pool, neighbor will come over and help get the cover on it. It is great having a good neighbor.

David hope you find the right switch for your cooler.

Ron, prayers for your shoulder and your wife.

Have a great day, prayers sent. Ed

maybe apply to join the TBN EGO appreciation society.

Eric, I assume EGO equipment is sold in your part of the world? I know their website says they are a "global organization".

54 degrees this morning going for a high of 63 with 100% chance of more rain. I got about a quarter inch yesterday and we have rain in the forecast every day for the coming week.

Good morning all,

29 and going to a high of 45F. Wind N 10mph. 30% chance of flurries.

Tis going to be a good day to erect the shelter.

Eric, I am going to search my gardening sites and see if I can find a reasonably priced pot plant moisture meter.

Have a good day all

50 after a brief shower just passed through...should see the sun and 62 later.

Eric, sorry to here your Stihl is uncooperative, but glad the Ego worked well.

Randy, are you guys driving over to TN or flying? Sounds like you have a good vacation planner...get 3 weeks worth but only have to pay for 6 days. :)

We are driving. I’m trying to nicely nudge her towards quality vs quantity.

Good morning! 73˚ looks like a shower might be headed this way.
Whipper jumped the fence while we were in the house. I went inside to get the keys to my truck to start the search and when I opened the garage door she was on the driveway. She did not have her collar on and it was not in the yard. I suspect someone tried to capture her and she slipped away leaving them holding her collar. Sure enough a golf cart came driving up and a lady, who lives block away who knows us through the dog walks, drove up with whipper's collar in hand. Whipper ran a block away and up to the lady, she tried to grab Whipper to bring her back. When Whipper escaped her she yelled at Whipper to go home, and she did.

Now I have to figure how to secure the porch ledge escape route.

David, you might also want to check into automatic sprinkler rain shut offs. They have a moisture sensing disks in them that is adjustable.

Eric, welcome to the EGO family. All their products get good reviews. Their chain saw has the same size battery as my mower.

Randy, that sounds like the vacation you need a vacation from when you return.

49 for a low around midnight before clouds moved in. It would have been much cooler if it were clear. Soccer game if the rain moves out, put up new flag, took the old one down before the storm and discovered it was starting to come apart at the seams. Ta an Annin made in USA and lasted 15 months of 24/7. The printed Chinese flag lasted 2 months.
Good day all, God bless.

43 right now...high about 50 (but not quite)...morning showers.

Plans...dump run, definitely. Then a quck trip to the local gun shop to pick up a Ruger SP 101 I'd dropped off last week. The 'smith installed a new front sight.
While I'm out, I'll get some gas for the mower...also some diesel.
If the weather isn't cooperative today, I'll watch some Blu-ray movies I'd got over the last few months.
I need to clean the front gutters...get the leaves out, so that's on the agenda this weekend (maybe today...maybe tomorrow)

Question is how to control. Some sort of moisture/leak switch? any ideas?

You may find something here, but they are not cheap. Seed-Starting Supplies, Growing Mediums, Greenhouse Pots, Seedling Trays, Hanging Baskets, Tomato Cages, Plant Supports, Tree Stakes, Irrigation Supplies, Hydroponic Supplies, Raised Bed Kits, Reverse Osmosis - Growers Supply

Hydroponic supplies is what I was looking at.

Maybe this, it swings both ways.

Good Morning!!!! 68F @ 4:00AM. Sunny. High 83F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph.

Please report back to us, Eric, on how long you can work before the battery on your new saw needs recharging. Curious I am, indeed!

It's great Ellen has sussed out so many things to do, Top, as long as it's understood that great variety doesn't all have to be done in just one trip!

Maybe something like this in the cabinet above the pan would work, David?

Had a talk yesterday with a Mac repair person and found out Apple recalled the MacBookPros in 2011 to replace the graphics processing unit, and the symptoms I've been seeing are typical for that failure. Unfortunately the recall, which was inspired by a class action lawsuit, ended in 2016, so I'm on the hook for the repair costs. Found a nice, big, piece of packing foam to wrap the laptop in, and dropped it off at the postoffice yesterday. Hopefully it'll be back good-as-new in a week or two.

A large hardware store chain, Orchard Supply, is going out of business and is offering 40%-80% off all merchandise right now. Thought I'd jump in the F250 and maybe find some nice steel cabinets, but the old truck didn't want to start. Cranked just fine, but wouldn't catch, and made that clicking relay sound of a dead battery. It has two, and I think one is bad. Took the Vanagon to town instead, and it sure is nice to have that option. Didn't find even one cabinet for sale, but I did load up on the various sizes of watch batteries and metric taps and dies, and a hold down device for the drillpress table that might help save my fingers. There were isles and isles of Christmas decorations and, of all things, packing foam, all being offered at discounted prices that were still overpriced. Thinking like that is part of what caused them to go out of business, I guess...

Stopped by the mechanic's and used his code reader to diagnose the Check Engine Light, and learned it has to do with the transmission neutral switch. It's a common bugaboo with the Subaru transplant, and another indicator that he's not as knowledgeable as he would like his customers to think. From what I can gather, it's easily rememdied by running a wire from the engine control unit to ground through a 470 ohm resistor, a small supply of which I've already purchased for another similar fault he says he's fixed but that I haven't verified. Wanna bet he botched that, too?

The bumper delivery saga continues with news that the shipment was sent to the Redding, CA delivery center because the one in Sacramento doesn't make deliveries to my area. Then when it got there it was discovered that the center in Redding doesn't service my area, either. My only option is to drive an hour south to meet a delivery truck in a Home Depot parking lot, but that'll have to wait until Monday because the bumpers have to go back to Sacramento first. Unbelievable.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

that would have made a cool whitewater raft trip...
Great picture Randy. Like a standing wave in an inlet.
I'm guessing there was a rock there.

Check, I can almost smell that crisp clean pine scented air.
I used to tell my late wife all our nice air came from Canada. It was cooler and drier.
But in late winter I was equally happy to feel the warmth from the South. C'mon up heat!
speaking of which, 69 in my office, will start to climb as sun warms the roof.
Had to turn the little heater on in the bathroom.
The seat had gotten a bit too cold....

Glad you're able to enjoy your coffee again, Ron. And congratulations to you and Betty. That's about 3 years longer than Margaret and I have been married, and just off hand I can't think of anyone else that we know that's been married that long.
