Has anyone used one if the tow behind post hole diggers? (for example). Looks like it might be viable and somewhat safer than the hand held variety.

I think if I ever rent another PTD it would be one of those

If your not planting to many posts and the soil isn't bad dig them by hand. Good exercise.
If your are planting a lot of posts rent a bobcat with and augur they are a digging machine.

Well I found a better solution...... found a friend of a friend who owns an auger. He is coming to do the digging this afternoon.... cost is a lot less than the rental

Thankfully the beer he likes is cheap.
