FEL Bucket 54" or 60"

Not sure. The dealer just said it would be the "Quick Attach".

That would be SSQA.. so if you’re going to dig often the smaller bucket is better, for mostly materials the bigger is better, if you get the bigger one and it comes quick attach, you can take the bucket off with the two handles in 5 seconds if you don’t need it on to cut grass etc..

My suggestion is to get the 60" (I did) and immediately add a Piranha cutting bar. Without adding that bar you will pretty quickly bend the bucket down in the center of the cutting edge. That Piranha bar is a nice and thick chunk of steel that significantly reinforced the bucket. I did the Piranha bar also within a couple weeks of getting my B2650, I had already bent the bucket in that first couple weeks.

Once you get the bar added, go ahead and order up the BXPanded pressure kit and bump up your hydraulic pressure, I did this and bumped mine about 150 PSI over the max recommended pressure. This makes a huge difference in ability to lift, curl and dig. Once you do these things, your all set to dig or move things with plenty of hydraulic power and no fears of bending or deforming the bucket.

The rear window will open enough to move the blower chute . You will find this to still suck though if you need to change it a lot. I converted mine over to electric.

And on the 2650 HSDC "CAB" model, does the rear window open up enough that I could stick my hand/arm out of it?

I ask because I have a 3PT Snowblower with a manual chute that I would need to crank by hand.

Or, I guess I could somehow convert the chute to a hydraulic or electric style if I had to.

Thanks.

Not on a 2650, but I couldn’t reach the manual chute crank when I upgraded to a cab. For multiple reasons, I would plan on adding hydraulic or electric controls. I speced 2 remotes on the rear, and 3rd function up front.
Only used the cabbed tractor and blower once last season, but I can absolutely guarantee that you will appreciate a cab when snow blowing.

Hi Dan.

Yes, you are right. I misquoted.... it does say light "Materials", not Light duty.

I'd love to see the 54" and 60" side by side to compare the gauge of the material used.

I made that decision this summer when I bought my B3350.

I saw both buckets side by side and could tell no difference aside from the difference in width.

Though the 54" bucked is a few dollars less, I bought the 60."

Hi Rock Crawler.

That's a really good suggestion about the cutting bar. I also wanted to get a "Tooth Bar". Does Piranha make a tooth bar as well?
