Good morning to all! Low of 45, high got up to near 70 yesterday, but s strong cool breeze kicked up at around 10-15 mph. One of those 'too hot in the sun for a flannel, too cool in the shade without one' days. Really nice overall.
Went and got some materials to build a landing in front of my neighbor's new shed. She had it delivered and the guy barely leveled in in her spot. It's over 14" from the ground up to the door (has a residential type door). I can barely step that high, let alone a very small 70 year old female. Made her a small platform and an additional step so she can get in easily. She's using it as a little "craft building" so she's always carrying things in and out. She came home and was pleasantly surprised!
Got some more things put away for the winter, a few more prep things to do today. Still want to get the finish mower into the shed and get the snow blower ready. Leaves are falling from the trees pretty steadily now. I opened up the 2 garage doors yesterday to sweep out the shop....the breeze decided it would be a good opportunity to blow a bunch of leaves in one side and disperse them throughout the shop.....made about 3 times more work for myself
Toppop, glad you enjoyed your trip. Thanks for taking great pics....nothing like being able to see the sights from the comfort of out living rooms....
Drew, keep us posted with your greenhouse project. Maybe you can start a threat in the 'projects' forum, with step by step pics. I have been thinking of a greenhouse for years and I'm sure it will come to fruition in a few years. Any tractor decision?
David, that 'thinking' can sometimes get you involved in projects you normally wouldn't readily do. When I was cutting the fields a few years back, had the same idea about leaving a 'parcel of land' for each of my kids. .....cut some tracks in the fields to basic size / shape....after thousands of dollars for surveys, plat fees, recording fees, re-survey fees, and waiting 2 years, my "thinking" finally resulted in a small subdivision.... Who knows if they would even live here now... They all say they would NEVER move back to NM!
Well, time to get moving. I'm running at about 25% of my normal speed. Need to stop frequently, sit, rest, then get the knee moving again....
Prayers out for all, those fighting illness, get well quickly!
