30 right now... We have a "Winter Weather Advisory" here...possibility of 1 to 4 inches of snow (probably not more than one or two inches at our lower elevation) turning to rain in the afternoon. Whoppee?br>
Plans...none. I've been fighting this bug since last weekend. It's pretty much limited to congestion in the lungs and a lot of coughing. I think I'll kick back this weekend and see if I can fight it off. There's nothing I really need to do today.

Sounds like you are going to get an appreciable amount of snow before me. We've had a skiff or two, but nothing to write home about.
As for your cold, my D-I-L went to the Dr. about it and he said there is a 100 day cough going around. It is not viral. Just a cough. Mine is clearing up, kinda.

Good morning, slept in by accident, got home about 11:30 last night. Great trip, more fun than an old man is supposed to have.

All you guys that are sick, if you are not getting better, GO TO THE DOCTOR!
Ron, hope your pain improves.

I have to get moving, gotta go get doggie and order pizza for a get together tomorrow. Have a good day, God bless.

Ps; we got 1.25” of rain last night, not as much as wngsprd.

Good morning to all! Low of 45, high got up to near 70 yesterday, but s strong cool breeze kicked up at around 10-15 mph. One of those 'too hot in the sun for a flannel, too cool in the shade without one' days. Really nice overall.

Went and got some materials to build a landing in front of my neighbor's new shed. She had it delivered and the guy barely leveled in in her spot. It's over 14" from the ground up to the door (has a residential type door). I can barely step that high, let alone a very small 70 year old female. Made her a small platform and an additional step so she can get in easily. She's using it as a little "craft building" so she's always carrying things in and out. She came home and was pleasantly surprised!

Got some more things put away for the winter, a few more prep things to do today. Still want to get the finish mower into the shed and get the snow blower ready. Leaves are falling from the trees pretty steadily now. I opened up the 2 garage doors yesterday to sweep out the shop....the breeze decided it would be a good opportunity to blow a bunch of leaves in one side and disperse them throughout the shop.....made about 3 times more work for myself

Toppop, glad you enjoyed your trip. Thanks for taking great pics....nothing like being able to see the sights from the comfort of out living rooms....:D

Drew, keep us posted with your greenhouse project. Maybe you can start a threat in the 'projects' forum, with step by step pics. I have been thinking of a greenhouse for years and I'm sure it will come to fruition in a few years. Any tractor decision?

David, that 'thinking' can sometimes get you involved in projects you normally wouldn't readily do. When I was cutting the fields a few years back, had the same idea about leaving a 'parcel of land' for each of my kids. .....cut some tracks in the fields to basic size / shape....after thousands of dollars for surveys, plat fees, recording fees, re-survey fees, and waiting 2 years, my "thinking" finally resulted in a small subdivision.... Who knows if they would even live here now... They all say they would NEVER move back to NM!

Well, time to get moving. I'm running at about 25% of my normal speed. Need to stop frequently, sit, rest, then get the knee moving again....

Prayers out for all, those fighting illness, get well quickly!

Low of 36° this morning, yesterday the sun didn't come out tell late afternoon and temperature was in the mid 50's. They are saying today will be sunny in the mid 60's with a 20-30 mph wind.

The last few days I have been helping a neighbor work on putting up a garage door under his deck. It would have been a lot easier if he would have made the deck level when putting that on the house. We got the panels and rails up yesterday still need to line everything up and see how it works. He was a steel worker at one time and when he dose that kind of work it has to be just right. But when he does carpentry work, a half bubble off plumb is good enough. He still has another door to hang on the other side of the deck. But now we know how to make it work out.

I'll see if he is going to work on that today and probably help him for part of the day.

Hope everyone has a enjoyable weekend.
CWB.

The NWS says it's 53 degrees going for a high of 82, dry and sunny! That'll be a big change for us. Maybe some of the puddles will dry up. And when they do, many (including me) will need to do some mowing. But this morning, we've got to take my wife's sister to the DFW Airport for her to go home to West Virginia. A few days ago eldest daughter offered to take her to the airport today, and before I could accept the offer, my wife said, "Oh, no, we'll take her." Yep, my wife likes to go for a ride, and doesn't have to do anything but enjoy the ride. And of course I'd rather take a whipping than go to that airport. At least it's Saturday so shouldn't be quite as bad as weekdays.:D

Now Bird, why didn't you suggest that your daughter take your wife AND her sister to the airport? (and return your wife of course). Perfect time for some "female bonding", and then you could do whatever you wanted.

I don't think my wife OR daughter would have gone for that. Daughter lives fairly close the airport, but it's a 45 minute drive out here. So daughter could make the one round trip (just as I can) but she'd have to make a second one to bring my wife home.:D

A chinees cherokee wedding theme, now that sounds interesting.

Interesting indeed! Glad y'all made it home safe Randy and Ellen.

heart is still pounding from another run in an hour ago with tenant farmer, once again discing up my leased land, once again pulling up my stakes. Got ugly this time, he knows I'll call the police on him next time. It's an odd sized lot so he wants to cut through mine. Tough. Stay off my land. I stated at high enough volume the entire neighborhood heard it. I went out and pounded in metal stakes this time. I heard from other locals that he's done this multiple other places, the man is a fool. Renting land from the drunken farmer who lost his farm. What a pair.

Drew, hope you get it settled without too much anxiety. Tractor shopping would ease my anxieties.

wndsprd, It takes motivation to get out and hike in a driving drizzle, damp and cold.... I'd tie a leash to the dog and let him "give me a pull". :)

Roy, hope cough goes away.

Ron, hope it gets better day by day.

FIL and I are going to look at carports. He wants to get his tractor and gator covered.

RNG, hope you get the bugs worked out of that van for the nationwide tour to begin.

LNS, you don't sound like you're taking it easy on that knee?

Eric, just wondering if you've ever watched the Nigella Lawson cooking shows in the past. She has a new series out on PBS here stateside. Always thought she was very easy on the eyes to watch cook. :) So my son is picking up this extreme south Texas accent, that he seems to even exaggerate....I'm thinking he needs to come over there for some finishing school....

It took me almost an hour to get caught up, and I'm sure I've missed a lot of comments that I should be making. Prayers for all.
