Whats wrong with my head Drew?

Well....if you were a true MacDon instead of a McDon, you'd be 30 feet wide.
That's a pretty fat head Don, make it awfully tough to get through doors, into the bathroom, you know.
Better you have a McDon, really. But a man can dream...:D

much colder this morning, probably frost, but nice sunny day. Headed out to play, off to JD dealer at 9am to look at tractors.
And the more the stock market crashes I'm less likely to do anything but kick tires. I doubt I can afford a really nice utility tractor, the question is whether a replacement JD offers me enough ergonomic advantage, like the external hitch controls, to make a switch worthwhile. My Kubota only has 550 hours on it, if Door A is the Massey and Door B is the JD, Door C is a 6 foot quality rototiller to put on the back of my Kubota, and stop trying to use a disc on only a few acres. Tractor tilling is sure life in the slow lane, 1.8mph or so but I have mostly sandy soil so it's a natural here.
And it's quality seat time, so I might go that route too.

But first I drop off a plate of chocolate brownies to the food pantry on distribution morning. No vegetables, I'm done for the year. I think the annual total was something like 2300 pounds of red potatoes and just under 500 pounds of assorted vegetables.
I'll take them some brownies every couple of weeks during the winter. Gives me an excuse to eat the crunchy ends...

Mostly, pretty leaves, the coppers of Fall...

Poured first cup of coffee. 29° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 56° with rain late in the day. Cleaning lady coming today. We bought a Oak Bedroom set off Facebook Marketplace. Now seller and I need to figure out how to get it to our place in the next few week. Son came over and cut lawn for the last time I hope.

Don, another Whipper adventure. Glad she found you.

Roy, good plan seeing doctor.

Kyle, interesting book.

Ed, any shop projects lately.

Looking, I have a dry well for the sink and sump pump in basement. 3 55 gallon plastic drums with bottom end cutout. Set in 10 yards of pea gravel. Been there for years with no problems.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All.

Temperature has crept above freezing and only a light wind, which is good as this afternoon I will need to keep the roller shutter doors open to see what I'm doing while replacing some lights inside the shed. I've gone for some brighter, warmer light LEDs (300K colour temp) than what I've used before because the previous low output "cool" white LEDs made it a miserable place to do anything in winter.

Hope Whipper and family have a more relaxed day.

Some great pictures put up over these last couple of days

Ron, I had a dry well at the old property, previous owner had installed it. He managed to put it in the only clay on the whole property, so as soon as the wife started washing all the kids clothes and such, the gravel would fill up and the clay couldn’t absorb it, so we got soap suds in the yard.
I had the drain field doubled and connected the washer back to the septic tank. No more issues.

We're sure having some weird weather. The low for today is 67, going for a high of 79. And after 2 sunny days that dried things some, but not enough for me to mow, we now have a forecast for cloudy today and rain tonight, tomorrow, and tomorrow night. Businesses on the Denton, TX, square traditionally give out candy to trick or treaters Halloween night starting at 5 p.m. However, due to the weather forecast of rain almost certain, they're moving that up to tonight instead of tomorrow night.

Yesterday I went to a gun dealer to see about selling my Sig Sauer P229 that I just have no use for anymore, and the owner was not there yesterday and employees are not permitted to buy guns. So I went by another gun shop and found it is now closed on Mondays.:laughing My usual luck, I guess.

Good Morning!!!! 59F @ 4:45AM. Sunny. High 74F. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph.

Oh that Whipper, Don. Thank goodness for the pet club and the kindness of neighbors!

A rental trencher and five ten foot lengths of PVC pipe would make short work of that drain line...

Spent most of yesterday under the van tracing wires, learning that VW used the same color wire for multiple circuits. That can lead to confusion in the confined spaces under the dash!:confused2: Learned that the coolant level sensor is likely defective, and today hope to hear back from the supplier on what they can do to make it right. More than once I found myself wishing I'd done the engine conversion myself so that I'd have documentation on the wiring instead of having to trace it out a few inches at a time. More of the same today, this time going after a ghost signal needed by the Engine Management Unit.

Good morning to all! Today is the last of the great fall weather. Going up to 65 today, dropping quickly this evening with a possibility of some light snow. Areas further north may get up to 8-10 inches. Tomorrow, the high will only reach to 42. Good bye fall...

Don, glad Whipper found you again. Sounds like the APB worked out well.

Kyle, sounds like a very interesting book. The wifey has always been interested in Roman history. Some amazing things done back then.

Some beautiful pictures posted from different areas.

Everyone have a great day. Prayers out to all.

50°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 76° today. Some rain expected overnight tonight and into tomorrow.

Glad Whipper was found, Don. He sure likes to run. Have you considered one of those in-ground invisible fences?

My favorite local gun shop closed earlier this year, Bird. I really liked that guy. Super nice, and always had great prices on everything. Not easy to find good places like that anymore.

Kyle, there was a roman republic before the well known roman empire, which was the ceaser reign. A lot of our government is based on it.
