Can any of you Freight Freaks give a valid argument as to why I should not buy the Harbor Freight 72" base tool chest with 56" top box and the add on side cabinet and add on side tool box for around $1940 with tax?

I've got a buyer coming Thursday to potentially buy one of my Craftsman 3 piece stacks, so that's going to move me into gear with the plan to get a 72" box for my home garage.

I would do the 72" and 56" in red, and the 2 end pieces in blue for a patriotic color theme.

I have a customer walk up to me the other day while I was there looking at the boxes and he made claim that these boxes start to rise within a year, the steel is cheap and this and deforms and that they are essentially junk. I have searched and searched trying to validate any of his wild accusations and I've failed.

So I ask, do any of y'all have valid reasoning to not move forward with the US General Series 2 for home use?

Is the 72in long base cabinet top strong enough at that distance from the end to hold the weight of a shorter 56in heavily loaded top cabinet? It might sag.

I'm putting it into position and never moving it again, so the plan from the start was to sure it up in the center with wood.

I picked up this handy linoleum flooring tool, $4.99. It is the best knife for gardening use, especially weeding.

Those are great. They (or similar) were on sale a few years ago and I picked up three.

The most useful one is one I rammed a piece of pipe onto to make a long handle tool to clear weeds out of my 3-point rototiller, reaching in from the side after it gets all snarled up.

Don't you want the ratchet? In my opinion the cam style ones aren't nearly as useful.

Not for these applications. Wrapping around smaller things doesn't leave any room to crank the ratchet and no real holding power is necessary.

It will make many of us jealous. Then we will go buy a 72", our spouses will get angry, divorces will ensue and the economy will collapse.
