52 and raining hard. Should see 68 but more rain.

Don, good luck with your Whipper control. But, I'm not so sure about that pipe.

Randy, great looking cake...so real. You ever heard of Duff Goldman?...does fancy cakes out of Baltimore...now on Food Network shows a lot.

Changed the oil in my wife's vehicle yesterday.

Ordered something from TSC to be delivered (free delivery) for the first time. Will be interesting to see how they handle it. Promised as quickly as Amazon Prime, and half the price.

Good morning! 50˚ heading to 80˚ light SE winds.

All clocks except the thermostat clock are set back. I'll leave that one un-re-set because we don't use it.

Does anyone use their programable a thermostat or, do they do like us, and turn it up and down manually when needed?

rain has moved out and moving North up the coast. My friends home in DE has a gale warning all day, not a nice day for them to drive home.
They are taking the long scenic Eastern route, all the way to the shore, over one bridge to Outer Banks, up the island a ways, then back on mainland and heading home through Norfolk. Last bit of touristing after being on the road five weeks.

Haven't looked at rain gauge but guessing an inch of rain last night.

will spend morning paying bills and getting into right frame of mind for tractor finances. Little birdies on both shoulders singing different tunes...
Hope you all have a good start to your week.

I had a sort of programmable thermostat when I still had a job, Don. It was really nice to wake up to a warm house and know that shortly before I left for the day the temperature would scale back to economy mode, then warm back up by the time I got home in the evening. But I didn't use the timer on the weekend, prefering instead to use a little keypad I kept on the headboard to turn the heat on while I was still under the covers in the morning.

Now that I heat with wood, I crawl out of bed into a freezing bathrobe, slip on chilly slippers, and pick up a splinter or two shoving wood splits into the mouth of the stove before setting a match to it and crawling back into bed for another hour while the house warms up. Progress?:confused2:

RNG, what does wood cost a cord in California, and what type of wood is normally delivered?

Am surprised California still allows you to have lit flames...;)

Drew it really comes down to wants over needs. If as you have worked hard all of your life saved wisely then this is the things (tractors) you worked hard for. When my Dad bought his last place on the coast he felt like it was a reach for him. He debated for weeks asking accountants lawyers those close to him what to do. Those close advisers all told him the same thing could he afford it with what he had yes would they tell him to go on and get what he wanted no. To my knowledge he and mother made the final decision what was right for him. None of us have a crystal ball to see into the future. Do what’s right for you my friend
