ok, so I'm a little early for X-Mas trees but Ma said she wanted this pine gone and me, just finishing installing some chain hooks on my loader I said NP ! The 54D just plucked it up out of the clay like nothing......so far having a blast with my new machine.

LOL....I think you're right. It almost stands up by itself because of that big flat root ball.

That gives me an idea. I have a really good looking pine I've been meaning to pull up.

Neat ! Post some pics please. Oh, after this tree I went and took down a much bigger white pine that was getting ill. It was at least 7" in dia and when I tried to pull it up the loader could not budge it. But, I took the chain off, raised the bucket up around 5' and simply pushed the tree over w/o effort. Then I put the chain around the base and pulled the whole thing up real easily. So if yours is a big one like this try pushing it over first.

My ceilings aren't quite high enough for that one, but it is a good idea. Are you sure that is a pine? It looks more like a spruce...or maybe a fir?

That was the easy part. Now you have to make the hole in the ground look like there was never a hole in the ground.

Good job!
....now you have to get rid of that root ball.

"Shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it,
Shake it like a Polaroid picture!
Hey ya!"

I've found that having it sit out in the weather combined with 4 to 6 bonfires over a 3 year period does the trick.
...or bury it.

Awesome pics of the barn animals ! Yes, your right LOL......now time to scoop up some clay to fill it all up. That is gonna have to wait.....OMG, you should see the rutt marks the tires left on the lawn after crawling up to and yanking out this tree. I will be needing even more "dirt" to fill those deep rutts <g>.

Now you are dating yourself LOL......i.e., shaking those polaroid pictures. Gosh I remember doing lots of those <g>. Yeah I tried yesterday to shake off any of that wet nasty clay but I don't think any fell off. My "soil" here is horrible ! Nothing that even comes close to dirt.....just plain ole clay like stuff that grass and weeds luckily grow on.
