Agree with that. To prove it, just throw away a tool. You will need it in a few days.

I tried most of the commercially available organizers that weren't completely stupid on prices (and a couple that were...).
This is what I came up with, zero cash outlay, built out of what I had laying around. Works for me.
Don't throw them away... cut them and 'chuck' them. I do this to my extras so I can use them in my drill/driver.I'm getting ideas...
Do most of you still hold on to the old school bent "L" shaped hex key / Allen Wrench, or are you today those out in favor of the ratchet driven hex key? I'm thinking about tossing the old bent L style, i often just go for the 3/8" ratchet drive hex keys.... Should I be using (wasting?) space to store the old bent L style?View attachment 577953

I have a small box with a jumble of simple L allen wrenches but what I reach for first, and use nearly every time, is a set with keys that fold out like a jumbo swiss army knive. One set Metric, the other SAE. It's rare that I need to go to the box of L keys. HF sells a third compact 'swiss army' set for bicycles if you need that.A lot of places such as set screws in pulleys you cannot get a ratchet wrench, tee handle, or drill motor into. There is where only the L wrench works. Keep at least one set of SAE and Metric for those occasions
Not just tools. Same goes for all the assorted "spare parts" and other junque in the garage/barn/shed. Soon as you get rid of it you'll find a need for it. :confused3:
