JCB 1400b block heater

Does anyone know where and if these backhoes have a threaded plug for a heater to be installed? Was going to put one in the lower hose but wanted to check here first. My neighbor has this B/H and I help him out with it as needed. I work for a Deere construction dealer so I'm not too familiar with these tractors. It has the Perkins n/a diesel in it

My quick answer is "no", I have no idea. That said, I have a 1550B and (qualifier) as long as it has a strong battery, it's a very quick starter. It seems to catch fire within (what sounds to be) 3/4 of a revolution. I've always been happy with how easy it starts.

Counterpoint: Looks like you're in IL and I'm further south in TN so you probably have nastier cold than I do so I suppose some extra warmth would be a nice thing.

Yes, it's been -10* or colder here the last few winter's. This tractor sits out in a old corn crib and I'm only trying to make it's life a bit easier in the colder months. Because if it needs work I'm the one who ends up working on it. Lol. I'll put an inline heater it the lower hose if that's all I can do but I'd like to not have to cut up the goofy lower hose. And there is not much room for the inline type to go on that hose

Look up Arctic Fox. They have block heater coils for almost any engine. They go in the frost plug.
But be careful when removing the plug. Don't drill in the cylinder.
