LS XG3025
I've read the manual, watched a couple of youtube videos on other models but still not exactly sure how to remove the backhoe on my XG 3025. Has anyone actually done it on this model? If so any advice will be greatly appreciated. My main question is locating the pin or pins to remove the subframe from the tractor. I find only one pin on the mid mount frame but the directions in the manual (page 16) says to remove the pins (plural) but does not say or show where they are. Thanks in advance.

Hey, I just got a 3135. The 3000 and 3100's should be the same frame generally, although the engines are usually different (from my reading).

The pins on mine are directly below the PTO. For me it's easy to find as the PTO/Transmission is all black, and the perm bolt on subframe is blue. The pins were directly below the PTO and one on each side.

EDIT: I just checked my back hoe manual and it's rated for XG3025. On page 17 should be a diagram and the pins are in the "Bracket Mid.". The only difficult part is that the pins have pins in them, that you have reach under and undo.

I can post pics tomorrow if you want.

Tymanthius thanks for the reply and congratulations on your new tractor, I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. Right now it's pouring rain here and my manual is in the shop and the tractor is under an adjacent shelter and naturally I'm in the house. So in the morning I will look at my backhoe manual again and then investigate the tractor again. If I recall correctly the diagram for my tractor is on page 16 (at least in my book) and it only shows one pin in a vertical position but in the text it does refer to pins which I interpret as at least two. We'll see in the morning. When I figure this out and actually remove the backhoe I'll try to post photos of the procedure.

Just to be clear, my backhoe manual is for the LB1100 series backhoe. That will at least tell us if we are working with the same one.

I have the 3025 also. The pins are directly under the pto as stated above. If you need pictures I can help. The biggest problem I had was from the backhoe settling after it was removed from the tractor. It made the hydraulic connection impossible to reconnect without removing the pressure from the lines. I have since blocked up the backhoe after removal.

Yes we are looking at the same manual and obviously you have read it more thoroughly than I did originally. The text for removal is on page 16 not the diagram as I previously stated, the diagram that covers the XG3025 as well as other models is on page 37 and the drawing only shows one pin, but I neglected to look at the table below where it clearly states the quantity as two.
As soon as it gets daylight and the rain stops I intend to pull the tractor into the shop and take another look. Thanks again for your help.

I know on the 4100 series, you also have to pull the pin on the drawbar, if it is in.

Well the rain let up for a while and I backed the tractor into the shelter where the backhoe will be stored and in pretty short order I had it off. It actually went very quickly except for getting the locking pins off the two large pins that lock the backhoe to the tractor. They are just in a location that's difficult to get your hands on them properly. I hope to post a series of photos with narrative that will hopefully help others complete this task. Just a couple of quick notes for now. The backhoe unit is pretty large, it's footprint requires a space 12'6" long by 8'3" wide. Combine that with a little walk around room and you've pretty much used up a bay. The other thing that surprised me was that after disconnecting the hydraulic lines at the backhoe, the front loader had no hydraulics. When I connected the two hoses on the tractor together everything was fine. My setup does not have remotes on the tractor, just the kit that came with the backhoe that somehow is plumbed into the tractor hydraulic system. Thanks to all that provided information and guidance.

Same thing on mine and it doesn't really say that in the manual that I could find. Breaking the BH out leaves the hydraulic circuit open, so no other functions until you close the circuit by connecting that hose.

The subframe issue is why I got the MT125 over the XJ2025. Mine stays on, so no mile long footprint.
