Has anyone removed the black plastic hood/visor at the top/front of the cab that houses the 4 off-road/work lights? I am installing a magnetic rotating beacon and side work lights and want to run the wiring into that covering and down the A pillar to the dash. Has anyone done this? Any tips or pitfalls?

Thanks, DEWFPO

Show pictures when you get it off. I was wondering where the wires for the safety beacon would be.

I had to take mine off at least I tried to get wipers back to top when shut off.. it would be way easier with two people.. have to take inside headliner off in front to access

Hi All,

New here. Been lurking while I was researching to buy.
Just took delivery of a 2007 5600. serial *A0W111290* 800 hrs
Drove it off the truck. Turned it off. signed the paperwork. Started it back up and drove in around.
Woo Hoo. Just what I wanted.
Turned it off.
Came back 10 mins later to put it in the garage and it wont crank.
Getting an error 50-07
F-P-R error.
Yes the selector wand it in the middle.
Dealer I bought it from said to check the fuses, but they all look good.
I purchased a maintenance manual, but it does not include a wiring diagram.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Bob

A 50-07 code will not stop the engine from cranking. Controller is sensing lever is not feeding back a signal. Check relays . Check fuses with a VOLT METER:thumbsup:

Thanks, I will check the fuses again.

How would I check the relays?

Check cab fuse F10. Switch relay with another. Switched power relay R1 powers the F/R lever. Also are all electrical items working with key on? ( heater fan, lights, etc.)

heater fan works, wipers work -no lights (not sure if they work)
All fuses checked with meter.
swapped all relays.

If I unplug the F-P-R lever - no difference.

Once I turn key to start it gives Beep Alarm.

Also fuses are not labeled.
The fuses I am checking are below front of driver seat.
