the valve is located under the driver seat. the previous owner had removed that valve and just put a "coupling" or barbed hose connector in its place. I removed that and put a ball valve with barb fittings on both ends. 1/2" is the size. again it is a cheap, fast fix, and I will look at buying a true valve sometime in the near future. but at least now I have nice cool cab to sit in to mow with.

craneman13, my valve is under the seat but to access requires to remove the seat and cover, Im thinking locating the ball valve just under the cab accessed by raising the box,

No, not on the Toolcat, but did on the Versahandler. Took the frame to the local glass shop, he cut and tempered the replacement safety glass for a lot less than the cost of the replacement part.

I looked at the Toolcat and don't see how to remove the hinge.

Trailer it to a Auto Glass shop and see what they say.

Keep us posted so I know what to do when ours gets broken. :)

$455.00 for both upper window passenger door glass (only way they sell it). Dealer said he's sold 2 of them already this year... should be at the dealer by the end of this week.. that will get me to pay more attention....

I need to move a Toolcat a few hundred yards to get it under a roof and out of the sun to work on it. It currently will not start. Is there anything in particular that I need to do before I try to tow it?

Thanks.....

My G series manual pg96 states there is no recommended towing procedure. They say you can lift it to a trailer or skid it a short distance (wheels wont turn).

I found some information on another thread that says you need the 4 magic bolts for towing the A thru C models. These apparently can not be used for the D-model. Anyone have any information regarding the newer models?

ruffdog...thanks for the info. I guess they expect you to skid it short distances. My John Deere hydrostat has two screws that you simply turn a quarter turn and then it can be towed.

The F Series is the same, the wheels won't turn because the brakes are on. The brakes are released by hydraulic pressure after the motor starts.

What Series is yours?
