I bought this some time ago but forgot where. I am using it in a DIY gadget and I need to know what it is and ideally what it is normally used for. It's about 3-1/2 x 6 inches and fairly heavy galvanized sheet steel. It looks like a Simpson strong-tie product but I checked and it doesn't appear to be from Simpson. Just a hand printed number on it (8638330), I checked with my regular building supply outfit and they couldn't identify it. The holes are about 3/8 inch dia. It's one piece with that tab bent over as shown.
