Prichard, I hear what you are saying about the rain. I contacted a guy to pour me a slab for a new garage/storage building on Sept 29. He would not answer texts for 3 or 4 days. Finally removed some trees a few days later. Then it rained a couple days. Then he was too busy to do my work. He got another guy/friend to work slab. Then it rained. I sent him a permit for inspections. Then it rained. He asked for address (it was on permit). Nov 8, he said he would plan to pour cement next week. Then it rained. It's now the 13th and it rained. All along I told him I needed this slab before the 16th when I will be there to build walls. He said "I can't control weather". I will be there for a week with wife, Son, DIL and two grandkids and maybe I will have a slab to build on. MAYBE.
Let me know where and when. If I can find some time I'll lend a hand.Prichard, I hear what you are saying about the rain. I never could justify a well vs. rural water, even filling a pool and watering a garden my bill averaged $20-$50 a month more (average $30) about 8 months of the year = $240 a year.
