Sorry, the update is no update. It is apparently monsoon season here. They didn't come out to frack, and likely won't till later in the week if it ever stops raining.

Prichard, I hear what you are saying about the rain. I contacted a guy to pour me a slab for a new garage/storage building on Sept 29. He would not answer texts for 3 or 4 days. Finally removed some trees a few days later. Then it rained a couple days. Then he was too busy to do my work. He got another guy/friend to work slab. Then it rained. I sent him a permit for inspections. Then it rained. He asked for address (it was on permit). Nov 8, he said he would plan to pour cement next week. Then it rained. It's now the 13th and it rained. All along I told him I needed this slab before the 16th when I will be there to build walls. He said "I can't control weather". I will be there for a week with wife, Son, DIL and two grandkids and maybe I will have a slab to build on. MAYBE.

We are at over 60 inches plus of rain this year here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I have managed to put a total of maybe 10 hours on my tractors, excavator, and zero turn all year. Our ground has been soaking wet since March. Got two inches of rain already this week, with another 1 inch coming Thursday. Supposedly gonna dry out for 10 days after that... Lord willing and the creek don't rise...

Inside of the house is swamped. Advantech floor sheathing holding up well but need an extended dry spell do the roof sheathing can dry out so I can get felt on the roof.

Also, old septic system for mobile home were living in now is flooded. Getting hard to flush the toilet.

We've had an unbelievable amount of rain this year. Real wet spring, above average summer and now this last few weeks. I've never seen standing water on this land in the 5 years we've owned it. Course, this time last year we had very cold temps and snow. Way early in the year for that stuff here.

Let me know where and when. If I can find some time I'll lend a hand.

I know weather patterns are different throughout the country. Here in Florida 2 inches of rain is a 1 hour storm. The problem is I can only be there for 1 week three four times a year. This time it is Thanksgiving week and I started this process 3 months ago.

So, they were finally able to get out here and frac on Friday. Only gained 1 gpm. 2.5 gpm at 600'. The good news is water level is about 30' so we have close to 1000 gallons in the well. He's working up pump options fir is but it shouldn't be an issue keeping up with house demands we'll just have to be selective when we water gardens.

Plan to finish up electrical to well tomorrow then build a well house.

I never could justify a well vs. rural water, even filling a pool and watering a garden my bill averaged $20-$50 a month more (average $30) about 8 months of the year = $240 a year.

I had a house in the big city up here vacant waiting to sell and the water bill was $250/month. With no usage. Base rate. Crazy expensive once they add metro fees, etc.
