Took my back hoe off my BX22 today, and installed the 3 point hitch. The arms will lift and lower, but as soon as I put the weight box onto the lower arms, the tractor was unable to lift the weight box. Never had a problem like this before. Both the loader and the backhoe were working fine prior to removal. The only thing that I did notice this summer, was that the mower deck was slow lifting. I have checked all hydraulic connections, and they are all properly connected. I have the valve under the seat open, and the mower arms set at "top". The hydraulic fluid is at the correct level on the dipstick, and I also pushed the RPM's to maximum, thinking that it might be a pressure problem. I am leaning towards something binding, but I can't find anything that is bent, or looks out of place. I was thinking that possibly sometime this summer, when mowing, that somehow the mower deck might have gotten bumped, but I don't see any damage to the deck that would indicate a traumatic injury to the lifting mechanism. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I would rather plow with my weight bucket on the tractor, instead of having the backhoe installed for weight. thanks

Did you just look at or shake the quick connections, or did you detach and reattach them?

Did you get the PB bypass hose installed correctly? The 3 point is the next item down stream. The FEL should not be working properly either in that case as it is down stream from the 3 point. I would have to explore where the MMM deck is in the circuit. What position is that lever in? Your problem could lie there as you mentioned there may have been a problem there earlier. My Work shop manual for the BX 25 is somewhat vague on the MMM hydraulics. I have never used a MMM so have not paid any attention to it except to make sure the lever is in the up position. I would have to trace it out on the machine. You might want to invest the $100 in a WSM. That may save you an expensive trip to he dealer shop. Sure has saved me a bunch over the years.

I disconnected and reconnected the hoses multiple times, thinking that it might be in the disconnect. I have all my hoses banded with different color tapes, so I know that all the connections are correct. Originally, Kubota used different color caps on the ends of the hoses, and I also have those as a guide. There is no way that the hoses are not connected correctly. I also have checked the fluid level, and know that the level is set exactly where it is supposed to be. Bot the 3 point hitch, and the mower deck use the same lever. It has 3 positions, lower (float), stop, and raise. I tried that lever multiple times in all positions. In the down position, the arms drop, and in the up position, they raise. In the mid point (stop), the stay were they were set. It seems that the system isn't getting proper fluid pressure to lift the weight box.

You may need to check the adjustment spring on the 3pt lever.

Thanks for the picture. Do you know the procedure for making this adjustment, and are there any specifications as to how much travel the rod should make between the various settings. thanks

I think it needs to be tightened. But I'm not totally sure. I'd have go out to mine and monkey with it.

Maybe someone on here might have a suggestion.

Or you can try just making adjustments and see what happens.

The 3pt is physically linked to the MMM, there isn't a separate circuit. There's just a rod forward from the 3pt to a pivot on the MMM arms.

Would this mean that the MMM arms need to be locked in the up position before the rear arms will work? Last week, I got under the tractor, and physically shook the MMM arms, and then pulled the lever back to raise them. I heard a large bang, and then I was able to get the MMM height adjustment knob to the "TOP" position. I haven't tried lifting anything with the 3 point arms, so I don't know if they are now working. Never had this problem before, and I think it might be related to the MMM hitting a rock and pushing it sideways. After that, it never would raise properly again. Didn't give much thought to it until I mounted the 3 point arms, and it wouldn't lift the weight box. Thanks for the help, and hopefully this additional information might help me to get it back to working.
