LS XR4140H Regen intervals

Whose manual are you confirming? My manual doesn't match his (or the sticker)

I’m not confirming anything other I mis-spoke describing the regen lights. I described the XR40XX regen.

I’ll look at my manual and instrument cluster lights when I have a chance. I got my XR4155HC in 11/17. It was delivered to my dealer in mid 11/17. I believe it to be latest generation as it has 3 rear remotes and rear outside 3-point controls.

So the intervals thus far are as follows. They have been getting longer and now the last one met the expected time period.

1 - 25hrs
2 - 18.5hrs
3 - 29hrs
4 - 35hrs
5 - 50hrs

The tractor has a total of 157 hours on it now. purchased in June

My first regen. on my XR4155HC, started at exactly 50.0 hours. My second was at exactly 100.0 hours.

What does this even mean?

I couldn't figure out why the regens were happening so often instead of about every 50 hours. I keep the engine at 2,000 rpm most of the time. It is finally lasting 50 hours in between. I can guess but have no proof. My guess is that the first 5 hours was spent in 3-4 minute segments of starting it up and moving it out onto the lot and starting it up and moving it back in the barn. I think it filled the filter with particulate and the sensor forced the regen. I am guessing the regen is either initiated by a 50 hour timer or a 70% filter accumulation sensed by restriction, whichever comes first. In my case the filter was clogged from the short cold run times. I also suspect the regen has a sensor that tells it that it has reached the temperature for regen and then it runs a timer. If the regen is initiated by 70% restriction, the timer may not run long enough to get the filter cleaned out. If the timer initiates the regen then it may have less than 70% and it stands a better chance of getting fully cleaned out and lasting the next cycle without getting to 70%.

All a total guess but I tracked the times because I would never remember and I posted it here in case there were others that might have something to share that might shed some light. rlgustafson posted what seems like straight up timer initiated regen.
