Oil & Fuel UTF at Kioti Dealer

On the web site it said that was for 2 2.5 gal jugs @$69 and a single 2.5 gal jug is $35. Good if you need between 5 and 7.5 gals; interestingly enough a single 5 gal pail is $77.

There is a $10.00 rebate on the 5 gallon pails. End price is $67.00 a pail delivered. I bought 3 pails from them recently.

Well, I'm at the point where I need to change the fluid.

I heard so much about Kubota SUDT2 I called the local dealer ; $101.85 for a 5 gal pail. Full synthetic Multi-grade

I called my local Kioti dealer and they carry (and use in the shop) Wolf's Head (http://www.wolfshead.com/assets/6b_wolfshead-tractor-ht-111128.pdf) at $60/5gal. A conventional multi-grade

And Summit has the two pack of Mobil 424 for $69 + $10 s/h = $70 for 2 - 2.5 gal. (with a $5/2.5gal rebate) Net cost=$69 However it' PDS doesn't state it's grade/weight. either multi-grade or ISO. (a call to Mobil Tech results that it's an ISO46 = 20w)

I've been using TSC Traveller UTF but found it's a single grade, ie ISO46 = 20 weight. And my HST CK2510 seems to whine a lot, especially when cold and in hi range.
BUT TSC also carries Rotella HD (a UTF) which is a 10-w30 grade rated GL-4 for $58 + tax.

With winter coming (here) I think I'm going with the Wolf's Head or Rotella. SInce the Wolf's head is closer and cheaper, it's the winner.

The traveler premium utf is a 10w20 multi weight. Not a straight 20w

For what it's worth I just did the 50 hour service on my 2610 and used the SuperTech brand UTF from WalMart as everything else is around an hour away. It made a HUGE difference in the amount of whine from both the HST and the hydraulic pump. Whatever the dealer used when they assembled the tractor made quite a bit of noise, I couldn't believe how much quieter the SuperTech oil was. Think it was $47 for 5 gallons. I guess time will tell but so far I'd happily use it again.

The traveler premium utf is a 10w20 multi weight. Not a straight 20w

Specification Description
Product Type: Hydraulic & Transmission Fluid
Brand: Traveller
Flash Point: 435 deg. F
ISO Viscosity Grade: 46
Pour Point: -44 deg. F
Manufacturer Part Number 590901

This is their Specs from the website. ISO 46 = 20W. In the verbiage it says "...Traveller Premium Universal Tractor Trans/Hydrauilic Fluid is a specially formulated, premium multigrade (SAE 10W-30) fluid .."

Two contradictory statements.

What does it say on the container?

That info TSC website is not correct. I actually spoke with the mfg that produces it and they directed me to their website. Here is the link http://martinlubricants.com/wp-cont...Xtreme-Premium-HD-Tractor-Hydraulic-Fluid.pdf It is a 10w30

The Mobil 424 is supposed to be a 10-30 weight oil.

Thanks! I was a little put off by the uncertainty. I am also looking to reduce the whine. Not sure if the Wolf's Head will do that. Time will tell.
The Wolf's Head did NOT reduce the whine; it might even be worse. I'm hoping it's just noise and not bad for the tractor but maybe for the nest fluid change I'l bite the bullet and go SUDT2
