Amazing! I hope he got arrested and fined.
Many of folk also have the 1.25 to 2" receiver adapter before that hitch carrier.We all know the legacy of the Ford Pinto with it's exploding gas tank. Yet how often do you see somebody carrying a gasoline can or propane tank on one of those receiver hitch carriers? Talk about no protection; I cringe every time I see one especially since they generally are held on with an el cheapo tie down strap, the type of which I have never bought because I can find all that I need on the side of the road.

In that generation of small low priced Fords I liked the Maverick better. At least it had a V8.
