Glad to hear you're almost done. They are doing a great job and I'm amazed at how fast this has gone. Probably didn't feel that way to you.

We're 40F this morning. My guys are clomping around in Missouri clay mud. Their boots are the size of a large roaster pan.....

I swear my framer hired one guy to walk around and get as muddy as possible then walk through the house. I think he was not bright enough to even know/care that someone (me/wife) kept sweeping and cleaning up after him. We finally told our builder that two of the framing crew members were not welcome or wanted on the finish wood work or anything left on the house. He fully understood why and didn't have a problem with it.

Glad your builder agreed.

Gotta put your foot down at times. I had to tell my electrician that I don't want any of his screw smoking in my new house. He was cool with it and I never saw that guy in the house again.

House is looking great!

I am amazed how inconsiderate some subs are with dirty boots/feet. No excuse for that other than being dumb and lazy.

my buddy built a 3000 sq ft ranch house and they were going to stain all the concrete floors. He and his wife went in and taped down brown paper from a large roll in the whole house. And told every worker if they were caught spitting their snuff on the floor, "They were GONE."

Update;

This week seems like nothing happened, but progress was made.

All the flooring is complete. Other subs have commented how much they really like it.

The garage heater was installed and tested, it will sure be nice when needed.

The tub/shower surrounds were completed, they look real nice.

All the permanent door locks and all door nobs/handles are installed.

The bathroom and laundry cabinets have been delivered.

All the lighting fixtures are at the house.

So this week coming;

All cabinets will be installed, finish electrical will be done, rock on the fireplace will be done, finish trim around the LVP flooring will be done, all the LP siding will be done, insulation in the attic will be done. Sounds like a lot,
hope the builder can pull it off.:thumbsup:

As soon as the kitchen cabinets are installed the counter top people can come and laser out the granite tops. Not sure how long it will take them to cut the tops but once they get done the finish plumbing can go in and it'll be ready to move in. :drink:

I'll get some pictures as the work moves happens.

Thanks for all the comments/concern for inconsiderate subs.

Rather than get mad or upset (even though it is annoying) I have chosen to feel sorry for them. Their IQ is so low they don't even understand how dumb they really are. :confused:

Looking good Lynn, hard to believe you are moving in soon!

To protect your flooring, see if your builder will put down the brown construction paper with blue painter's tape. They would remove it during the final cleanup.

Grab a couple boxes of these for the inevitable punch list once you've moved in.
