RK has a fair sized food section sometimes including limited fresh produce, but no hams. No lumber either. Their chickens still have the feathers too.

He did it once. I did it once. I don't have that store here, but I would not shop at a place with a required membership fee, no matter what they sell.

sorry, no offense meant. I also agree with you about not paying a fee to "save money". If I need to pay for "Prime" to get timely shipping I will go elsewhere. Stores around here have "cards" which allegedly will save you money when shopping at their store. I've found that prices are comparable at their competitors without the cards; and those are the places where I spend my money.

I talked to Costco, and they contacted Backyard Products.

Backyard Products left me a voicemail today offering to refund the $599 shed install and the $150 floor upgrade.

Seems reasonable, and now I can proceed with caulking and painting.

That does sound fair. You will be better off beefing up the floor yourself. No need to let them screw things up further.

In all honesty, I would only take half of that. They did do the bulk of the work after all. If I read it right, you were there and didn't notice how they were doing it at which point you could have commented and had it changed. Maybe I read it wrong though. I do that sometimes.

I really struggled with what was "fair". I had all those problems with the first shed -- had to take 5 days off work for the first installer, then another 3 days for the second guy to address some of the issues created by the first guy. Didn't show up when they said they would, or didn't show up all. Didn't do what they said they would. Poor workmanship. It was just a mess all around.

The installer for the 2nd one showed up exactly when he said he would. I met him and showed him where the shed should go. He said he'd call me when he was close to finishing. I didn't stick around to "supervise". He called when he was close to finishing, and finished exactly when he said he would.

When I arrived for the walk-through, I had a gut feeling the floor didn't look correct, but honestly I didn't remember exactly what was included in the upgraded floor package. I asked him if I got the upgraded floor that I ordered, and he assured me I had.

It wasn't until I looked up the details in my paperwork and online and measured it and compared it to the 1st shed that I discovered the error.

I called the installer personally and he said he always builds them all 16" OC. Presumably nobody else ever noticed.

Yep, may have settled for less, but not give half back when they offered more without a fuss.
