I got a clean 55 gal drum and 12v pump from a friend for free ! Had some scrap metal around the shop and some time ! boom ! I was going to put wheels on it but decided to just make skids and move around with my motor cycle jack. It will sit in trailer better when I take it to fill it. Plan to add a filter and still looking for a 115v pump. My 5400 tractor holds 15 gallons and 997 mower 14 gallons both sip fuel but it will be so nice not to deal with those 5 gallon cans anymore

I like that idea. I hate 5 gallon jugs too.

This works for me. It was stuff I had laying around. The 20volt Li-Ion battery was on clearance at WalMart (MTD labeled...$7), any similar 18-20 V battery will work.
A 12v fuel pump (not expensive if you order from ebay). Switch, wire, couple spade connectors, fuel hose.
It runs on higher voltage ok. Pumps about 2-3 gpm. It lasts a long time, I charge it on a supply I made.20181101_175606.jpeg20181101_175633.jpeg20181101_175659.jpeg

Frustrating update. I thought I could tack weld the barrel to the frame to keep it secure - turned welder down some - welded lip of barrel to frame then it happened !!! leak ! ugh so I pulled mower around and fueled it and filled up some 5 gallon cans.

After grinding off weld and getting barrel off I decided to build a battery holder while I find another barrel. Was gifted a nice battery from a friend and dug into scrap pile and found enough metal to make a holder. I have all thread and a plate to hold battery when i mount it. somewhere I have an extra trickle charger for my Harley I plan to leave that on the battery.

I’ve got a gravity flow tank that works a lot better than people said it would. It’s even got an inline filter. It’ll run 30 gallons in under 5 minuets. The one trick to using a gravity flow system is park at the right distance to keep the hose slack out. It doesn’t like flowing down a loop and back up. I would have thought it would make much difference since the end point is still lower than the start point and it’s not changing the height of either but it does.

I could maybe use a gravity to fuel the zero turn but the tank on the tractor is way to high I would have to put it up on the loaded to make it work.

How will you load it on and off your trailer?
