Here is one from 2004, 4x6 all steel with a two way hinged, removable tailgate. Bought at a sale for $100, removed the old car drop axle, added a shortened mobile home axle with a longer tongue and modified to dump:What does everyone use as a trailer behind their tractor?

Current price on Northern Tool is $570 with free shipping, if you are part of their "Advantage" club. The walking arm suspension is great on rough terrain, but it does drive the price up. If you don't need that, the Polar Model# 8233 is the same trailer with just a single axle. Northern Tool sells this for $400, and it does go on sale from time-to-time. You can add the tandem axle modification at any time, just another pair of wheels and an assembly that mounts where the single wheel mounts now.
<snip>
I have the Northern Winter Sales cat. in front of me now and the Polar single axle is 329 and the double axle is 519 with free shipping. Max load is 1400 lbs., I personally would never come close to that so I'm looking at the single axle which will beat the Rubbermaid beat up thing I'm using now.
