Given the brakes, suspension and steering, I'd say this approximates suicide. Don't try this at home !

I'd keep it at a safe speed, let's say 30 MPH max, I think normal max speed for a normal tractor is 15-20 MPH max, which is boring for a long distance.. it very well could have 400 HP, capable of going 140 MPH, considering the power to weight ratio, but that's nuts.. without a suspension, even 20 MPH over a bump can really hurt!..

While I appreciate the work the guy did, unless he has gobs of money and time, why would he invest that much into a lawn tractor for a few short joyrides until he is bored with it?

I believe the MF 35 is a full size AG tractor, not a toy lawn tractor.. also, you'd be surprised what people have bought or made that would seem useless to some people!.. fun, challenge, and uniqueness play a part!.. for instance how about the V8 powered snowblowers? to Me, those could be very useful..

btw, was you experience with Jet Ski, Snowmobile, Three-Wheeled motorcycle, or Ski Boat with boom for 'barefooting'?

Around here, guys build 'wind generators' and 'solar collectors' ... at least that's what the shattered remains in the yards sort of look like.

When I was young, putting a V-8 in something small was on everyone's bucket list, (MGB, TR4, Nash Metro.etc) until emission controls and kids threw sand on our plans.

Nowadays we'll settle for 'turn-key starting'.

I saw several account of really rare, mint, expensive cars or trucks out on the public road and just get T-boned out of nowhere or some such thing. One, wasn't even insured yet.

There are competitions with V8 powered chain saws. Definitely practical!
