I agree with you on Sirius. Lots of channels but not a lot of good music. It's not like I have narrow tastes in music either. Sirus drops out when driving in canyons or forest (lots of those where I live). Most of the services like Pandora depend on cell service. Where there's no cell service they don't work, though with some you can download music to the phone to play back later.

Amazon Prime Music allows you to download to the phone. I use that when I'm on motorcycle trips in the mountains out west where we have very limited cell coverage. Very nice to have continuous music. Pandora is still preferred due to the variety of songs if I have cell coverage.

In my new truck, I put the music I like, on a "stick", plug it into the USB port in my console and get EXACTLY what I want to listen to in high quality, uninterrupted, right on the radio...

In my car, I have "Sirius" and I really like it. It ends up costing a bit less than 10 bucks a month and both my wife and myself really enjoy it.

I don't see me posting to TBN from my new cell very often. Yes, I do have voice to text on this cell. Lord knows, there are apps here that I've never heard of.

I have a Navigation V GPS unit ( Garmin ) on my motorcycle. Along with the cycles normal digital dash. I can stop - search ahead for a Pizza shop. Pull up the internet page for that Pizza shop - order - tell them when I will get there. But - I can't locate a bordello. BMW is kinda tight A**ed that way.

I can look ahead and locate any denomination of church available, liquor stores, gas stations - bordellos should be an option also.

The VERY cute sales girl ( Sasha ), who sold me my BMW, was shocked when I asked about those "houses of service" also.

My mind kind of runs towards shocking folks - fortunately my body doesn't follow. I find entertainment in seeing folks reaction.

NO - I'm not evil. I just enjoy pulling people out of their shell of comfort - if only for a moment. Folks have to learn to expand their experiences and horizons.

I doubt there is a single bordello in the state of Washington, but I bet the phone book is full of escort services.

Well, James, I will NEVER know. It's all about seeing the shock effect.

Anybody ever visited the web site - Wicked Jester?? They will put ANYTHING you want on a T-shirt. If I were to upload a picture of this shirt of mine - the FCC would ban me from the internet - for life.

So, me - my Harley Low Rider - my new T-shirt - the roughest, toughest biker bar in Ea WA state. Within ten minuets the sissy bartender ORDERED me - "take it off, reverse it or leave".

Did it work - you bettsya!!!

BTW - I'm well up the "learning curve" with the new cell phone. Face recognition, SiriusXM, Apple Play, cell phone activation, email activation, internet connection, WiFi connection. Things like Bluetooth, Guardian & SiriusXM Travel will wait until the PW is here.

Tomorrow I call the salesman for my weekly update. I know why he isn't calling me - poor cell reception with the old phone and I've advised him to not waste his time trying.

To all - have a good evening. Oosik

I think SiriusXM and all its subordinate features( SiriusXM - radio, sports, travel, Guardian, etc ) will be around $147/year in my case. Apple Play is another $100 per year. Things would really have to change for me to extend beyond either of the free trial periods. Too many years doing it the old way. I have only VERY RARELY ever taken my cell phone outside the house. I've become fairly capable of finding my way without following my cell phone down the street. Again, old times - old ways.

My father will turn 88 this week. He still drives, and late last year, picked up a new accord coupe. The one thing he now keeps from his first Honda coupe he bought back in 2007 is his SiriusXM radio. He loves the fact that he can listen to his 40's big band music anywhere he drives (as well as dedicated 50's and 60's music). For his birthday, even got him a Sirius home radio with stereo so he can listen to it at his new bachelor pad in the basement.

However, talking to people at Sirius who don't have a good comprehension of the English language can be trying at times.

Yea Sigarms - but you are a GOOD son and by the graces of God, your father is still alive. You mean customer service for Sirius?? I've found that raising your voice doesn't help either. I can just barely remember Benny Goodman and the big swing bands. Guy Lombardo...... MY fond memories go back to Peter, Paul & Mary - Kingston Trio - Harry Belafonte. The days of Haight/Ashbury & the flower children. For me now, if it ain't country - might just as well listen to the news.

My music hero's - Alabama, Shinia Twain, Oak Ridge Boys, the Statlers, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, the Highway Men. Kinda strange for a far northern Yankee boy.

Coobie - we all acknowledge, the truck has been built, has passed final quality checks, has crossed the USA/Mexico border. We know it's somewhere between that border crossing and Spokane, WA. We also know that the truck is not equipped with Low Jack. And the Chrysler tracking system is somewhat less than Sterling.

Had I ordered this truck - would have chosen a shade of grey like your Ram, Coobie. However, I've found that my driveway dust and mud shows well on most all colors. And the ever present volcanic ash - that goes with living in this part of the country.

Sigarms - give your father a big hug and tell him that you love him. I can tell you - it will mean a lot to him.

Thank you.

That said, I can still remember him chasing me around the car with a tire iron swearing at me when I was a teenager. Forgot what I did, but remember him chasing me LOL.

FYI, what I found works when dealing with Sirious, particularly with their tech service department, is to ask for someone who can speak good English. At least at that point, I can understand what they're saying.
