1000 FT LB of Torque

RAM Trucks. Too much power. Just like the cars, they put way too many horsepowers in the engines. And, NOW they gotta ruin the truck market by being the first 4 digit torque numbers... 35,000# towing.!

Who agrees that the numbers are just too crazy now?

They have been for a while. While the trucks get bigger and stronger, and engines get more powerful, its the same old dumbbells behind the wheel.

It used to be that a heavy trailer for a 3/4 or 1 ton truck was 10K lbs. More was Class 6 truck territory. Now any fool with a Class D license can pull an RV trailer of 35,000 lbs.

100 percent want it for the wow factor. I’ve pulled my backhoe with a 2005 Duramax that I doubt is over 500 fp of toque. There’s plenty of medium duty trucks with less power than that. 35 k towing behind a 1 ton is insane. I pull 22 k behind a 1 ton dually and I’d hate to add 50 percent more. The good thing is not many people have trailers that heavy.

Well it seems like there are at least two different types, the Prius/pusscake crowd and the crowd that likes trucks and horsepower. Just because a guy doesn't need it, doesn't mean he can't want and have it! America is great again!
