Danke Danke! I was going to get fancy decals made up. "The MANGLER" . Probably would become a key piece of evidence in the personal injury claim against me though!

Can't do it! Don't want to listen to some horrible little engine screaming away, and don't like standing there like a useless turd, holding the lever while the wood splits. I could and should be stacking the split wood.

But, I do acknowledge that there is a high price for my demands.

Well I don't have much of an option....Was lied to by Corporate... In sales brochure for my tractor it gave part number for accessory "power beyond".... Well Corporate can not find it (got email back referring me to local parts counter/dealer) and local parts counter guy cant find it..... Yes I could tap in to FEL hydraulics, but where splitter would be and where controls would be makes for a very backward operation.... There for putt-putt machine....

I have used many splitters. A PTO jobbie never did it for me either.

I drive a perfectly stock truck. I like it that way. Some guys couldn't stand to do that. Me, I gotta have my special tricked out splitter. lol Just trying to figure out some CMOS circuits for my flashing E-Stop Buttons.

Put a PLC (A-B Micrologix, et al) on there and use one of the bits from the free running clock in your output rung for the E-stop light.

It would have been a great little PLC project, which I something I want to learn. But deciding on a manufacturer is difficult and so it may never happen. Besides, this relay logic is pretty bulletproof and easy to troubleshoot with an LED for each relay. The fewer computers, the better.

You don't need the official kit to add valves to the system. Many people here have done their own.
You could add a block of however many valves are needed (for top and tilt or other cylinders) and mount them close to the operator.
Make one a detent valve and use it to power the valve on the splitter. The valves plumb in between the loader valves power beyond port and the 3pt.

However a sub compact's hydraulic flow is lower than the typical dedicated splitter. It'll make for slow cycle times.

IT, you're not adding a sensor that detects when the wood's split so it can return the ram early? :D
