A colleague moved to NZ for work. Made at least 1 trip there before the move...... said it was funny to realize the things we don't think about....... Fall colours down your way are our Spring months...... things like that can briefly throw you off in conversation.....

Back in the day, we used to love the line "I study nuclear science, I love my classes, I got a crazy teacher who wears dark glasses, Things are going great, and they're only getting better" Man that was such a fun song! :thumbsup:
Nevertheless ... It's been a great year overall, to have some help and encouragement with things when needed, from such tremendous people, is a huge help.
We're a bit more traditional down here ... it's Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! :drink: Keep safe, stay relaxed and make sure it's enjoyable for all! :thumbsup:

Wow ... January 9th already! I hope everyone's Christmas and New Year celebrations were enjoyable, safe and included a chance for some relaxation. Back to reality, normality and the daily grind once more!
:laughing: I thought the day would take a little longer to arrive ... however ... she arrived safely in Orlando a few hours ago! :thumbsup:
Two weeks of competing and coaching/training workshops and conferences, plus some well-earned sight-seeing.
Top of the list is Disneyworld, also the Kennedy Space Centre is high on the list. She travelled with a former coach and fellow competitor who has been to Orlando once already, and they will meet up with another dozen or so Aussies tomorrow. Florida may not be quite the same afterwards!
A few mates asked me why I'm not there as well - I said if I got away in the USA I may take quite a while to come home ... I might never come back at all! :laughing: Besides, the cost is significant.
She will have only 2 or 3 weeks afterwards before university starts - she's just soooooo excited about both this trip and starting uni.
And ... ths house is sooooo quiet! :thumbsup:

:thumbsup: Thrilled to be able to share with you all .... Jenny received the Bronze medal in her event!
We were woken by our phone ringing at :confused2: 2AM to be greeted by a excited young lady full of bubbles who couldn't wait to pass on the news! She's sure to remember this last two weeks for the rest of her life ..... What memories! :laughing:
Here's a pic or two:
Now she has to fit everything back into suitcases and board a plane tomorrow - homeward bound, with fond memories of the USA. :thumbsup:
I reckon she's loved every minute of this trip ... and she will really need a restful holiday!

One pic is Jenny with Greg, the other competitor from her club and her travel buddy, who co-incidentally has worked in Orlando years ago repairing helicopters, and coached her for her first 5-6 years skating.
