Ordered New RK55HC

   / Ordered New RK55HC #22
Two days and I'm ready to tear out (or at least muffle) the backup beeper. Has anyone figured out where it is on the RK55 yet?
Please send me a private message, I can assist if you still need help with this.

Not much in the way of new pics because my phone is having trouble, but got to put a little time on the tractor today with the flail mower. I don't think I could be any more pleased with how it ran. Pretty thick and tall grass, no hiccups and I never felt like I was running out of power. Seems like a keeper so far!

My wife also got to drive it for the first time cruising around the fields. First time ever on a tractor, don't think she's even sat on a ride-on mower before. First words out of her mouth were "This is fun! Can I go around again?" I think the hydro drive was a good choice lol

That would be great! I ordered from the Wytheville, VA location. Added the 3rd function on the front and a 3rd remote on the rear. I forget the name of the guy that took care of me right now, but he was great to work with. From what I gathered it will most likely be 3 or 4 weeks... of course I'm hoping for as soon as possible. :)

I thought the RK55 came standard with the 3rd function?

On the RK55 models, the loader handle comes standard with a 3rd function button already on it, unlike the RK37 models. However, the actual valve is extra - $795 for the parts and $225 for RK to install it, or you can install yourself.

I'm not quite sure how they add the button to the Rk37 models, maybe it's as simple as a handle switch out.

I can answer that :) I just ordered my RK37 with the 3rd function on the front. And you are correct, they do a handle swap. And it sounds like the cost is the same as the RK55.

Fortholm, If you don't mind, when did you order and approximately what is your expected delivery date. I'm planning on ordering the RK 37 this spring and trying to get an idea of the time frame. Thanks

Hi Leo,

I apparently have an issue related to lack of inventory. But if you buy a tractor on that is on the lot, I'm sure everything would go smoothly.

I was told a week to a week and half when I ordered my RK37 with Backhoe and front function/remote. They said they didn't have the backhoe at the local store but should have it in a week to a week and half.

As of yesterday, we were at 3 1/2 weeks waiting on it (3 weeks since RK was paid). The tractor is there apparently. The Backhoe is still not there. And they can't give me a date when the backhoe will be there. They have told me I am 1 of 3 customers waiting on pieces of their tractor package at this store. So stock is a problem and they are waiting on containers off of ships from Korea.

Maybe RK Tractor Guy'll make it up to me with a free Grapple to go with that front function/remote I paid for?

We have an enormous volume of inventory inbound. We have a policy that our customers do not pay for their tractor until they take possession of it. For a tractor order for a configuration not in store inventory (as in your case), we require a 10% deposit or a signed loan contract (the loan term does not start until the customer takes possession). You mention that RK was paid three weeks ago. Do you mean you placed a deposit of 10%, signed a loan contract or paid in full?

I think things went wrong somewhere then. I paid a few grand and financed the rest with a contract the sales rep had me sign. It sure looks as if you guys completed the financing agreement on the day I signed the contract as it shows I have a payment due on 2/15/19 and a contract date of when it was signed. And I have a receipt showing my amount paid and the rest charged to the finance company.

We are in this same boat with you Fortholm. We financed for a rk-24 with backhoe, 3 point finish mower, grapple and 3rd. function valve on Dec. 27th. and are still waiting for grapple and 3rd. function valve to show up. They are holding the tractor in the store to install valve when it shows up, but the payment starts Feb.1st. so we had no choice but to make a payment on the loan before taking possession. We were told a week or two to get the grapple and valve at the time of sale. I understand that the grapple and valve are new to the rk-24 so we are not surprised at the delay, but we are not to happy on paying for something that we have only seen a month ago.

Nothing went wrong with respect to the payment. You signed the loan doc to put it on layaway only, it does not get submitted to the bank until you pick up your tractor, sign it again with the start date being the day you pick it up, and the serial numbers are added to the loan contract. The bank has not received any docs and won’t until you pick up your equipment. Your first payment will then be due at whatever time period from the day you take it home that the bank’s guidelines call for, usually about 45 days.

Very sorry for the delay in getting the 3rd function kits. Production delay, but they are en route, arriving first week of Feb. We will get it on your tractor and in your hands ASAP.

To RK tractor guy, if you reread my post , we got the loan payment books, the first payment due date Feb 1st. and never was told about any "layaway till receiving tractor" that you are stating . It has been exactly 30 days from when we signed the app. for the loan, first payment just got sent to them to get there on time. The tractor is being delivered to our house by RK after they get the 3rd. function valve installed. I don't want to sound like I'm complaining, because I knew that the valve and grapple were new to the RK24 and could take longer than what they were telling me but the financing doesn't match up to what you're telling me. So, when does the warranty start? If the tractor has been held at the RK store since signing finance, delivery time still unknown and me already making the first payment. Very confusing to me.

Please send me a PM with your name and the location where you bought the tractor. I'll make sure that loan will not start until the day you take possession of the tractor and that is also the day that the tractor warranty starts. Normally, our customers take the tractor home rather than wait to get an add-on like a 3rd function valve installed, then we either go to them or they bring in the tractor to get the add-on stalled at a later date. But that is up to each customer, really depends upon whether they want to use the tractor without the add-on. Regardless, send me the PM with name and store and I'll handle it. Sorry for any inconvenience.
