Loaders are a totally different animal than tractors. I live 30 miles from the loader plant that builds about an estimated 75 percent of all loaders on all colors of tractors 75 hp or less with only a few exceptions and most of them being the south korean models that maintain their own brand name. No matter what the loader says the builder plate will tell you who made it. Now that plate may say A-lo, ansung, bush hog or kyorker, but same plant here in Northeast Tn. built it.

But the tractor, Well it's assembled in the USA but I would say confidently it came here in a crate unless it't at least 40 years old or more.

Here is a cool video of the Horicon Deere plant building lawn and garden products.....then crating them.

Nice Video. Too bad such a level of technology and refinement comes at such a high cost. No flipflops, barefeet or dirt floors!

I understood that my 770 was made there in the late 90s. The area rep said they simply called it their Yanmar, and indeed the engine was (I believe JD owned Yanmar at the time) but I wonder if they just put the wheels on there. Who knows? So much misinformation. Some people that don't own Deere like to insist that Deere doesn't make this and don't make that. Like people that still say Kubota and kioti are made under the same roof.

When did Deere ever own Yanmar.
News to me.
I owned a 1978 John Deere 850 for years. It was built by Yanmar and not just the engine.

My 10 year old JD330 was "made" in Georgia with a Japanese (Yanmar) engine. The cast loader arm says "made in china." It's a global economy.

Thank you, exactly what I was saying.

No, I see nothing about JD owning Yanmar. But the area rep had told me that at the time. I see other reports on the net about dealers telling people the same thing. Could have been a small percentage of the company, but I don't see even that.

Kind of makes sense to me. Yanmar (typical Japanese quality) is just too good and practical to be owned and hence probably messed with by Deere.

I have to say, I am a little shocked that something I thought to be true since the 90s, aint!

I wasn't thinking Korea so much. Quite impressive. Thanks for that. It resulted in something of a paradigm shift for me. Now the only question I have (about that) is are they trying to build a great over-all tractor, or are they trying to build a tractor as cheaply as possible?

Interesting. But that didn't impress me at all. From the guy in the white coat with his angle grinder, to all the typical marketing BS. "Futuristic styling" and similar worthless claims.

Pretty sure the Deere 1-series subcompacts (1023, 1025) are fully manufactured in the US (but have Yanmar engine). Same goes for the new 2R series. Their predecessor models were not -- those were all Yanmar and just uncrated and assembled by Deere. But for 1-series and 2R-series, Deere started with clean sheet designs and moved manufacturing in house.

The Deere video was neat, and,,,,, it brought on some sadness to my soul, just thinking about how much of Americas goods are no longer made here, by our own.

are you sure about all the FEL manufacturers -

Pretty sure the Koykers are built in South Dakota

Koyker Manufacturing is located in Lennox, SD, just 20 miles south of Sioux Falls. Koyker manufactures front-end loaders and attachments.

Glenn I am sorry about all of the frustration. However there are a number of inaccurate statements in your post that should be identified.

1. LG is the parent company of LS, still in business.
2. John Deere especially the CUTS aren't all assembled in the US. By America I hope you are including South America and Mexico, because many are made there. In addition most parts including the engines are sourced overseas.
3. You can get Deere parts because Deere makes a point to depot them in the US, which I agree is great. However it doesn't have anything to do with where they are assembled.

That said you I am hoping you have already contacted the US regional LS rep to see how they can help you. You have reason to be frustrated and should be taken care of. Any change of trying a different dealer?
