Me too. (one-click posted to fb, which beats me logging in deliberately)
Thought I'd see my favorite 'Fishbed' MiG 21, the only dual-delta-wing I know of, and perhaps the one fighter more globally marketed in the 20th Century than Lockheed's F104 Starfighter. (which is second in pilot crashes only to F100) MiG 21 would be THE private one-seater to own. Parts on every continent, performance considerable, and should provide unequaled bang for the buck.
"Thud" F105 Thunderchief was the original single-seat, single engine nuclear standoff weapon, once shown centerfold in Life(?) magazine as "world's deadliest one-man weapon" with rockets, bombs, etc spread wingtip to wingtip on IIRC a carrier deck. Similar body size to three man, four-engined B58 Hustler whose ordnance was ALL carried in a modular 'pod' slung under the belly. If you're ever in Nebraska the SAC Museum on I-80 between Omaha and Lincoln is a must-see for us warbird wanks.
That said, if the test
hadn't been multiple choice I'd have missed a few of the Russian and Chinese planes. The Americans were all easy ones, no Pogo tho', lol. Oh well, I'm so over planes and more into trains as I get older. Got tinplate?
