Maybe true about ethics, I have no idea. Don't really care. But I save a ton of money there vs the Grocery Store and Auto Parts store. Small town Walmart here that employ's quite a few people. Some in wheel chairs, some with other handicaps. Some just rednecks that cant get a job anywhere else. Seems like they are doing OK.

When I am off to buy a battery, that is really all I am concerned with.
Just buying a decent quality battery, and from a store that will honor their published warranty!
I really do not care if they support "Free the Whales".... or whatever else others may have a problem with.

A Walmart brand battery from a non Walmart site would scare me.
I put Walmart batteries in everything except my truck. My original Motorcraft battery in my F150 lasted 9 years. The second went out at 6 and had some pro rate warranty left so I put another in. Been getting 5 to 6 years from the Walmart batteries in almost all other applications. The exception is their Value Power brand. Don't even waste your time with those. I bought a pair of those for my generator and they failed within the 1 year warranty. The replacement pair failed 7 months later and warranty was expired.
Wifes Kia had two bad Kia brand batteries in less than 6 years so it now has a Walmart brand in it. Can't possibly be any worse than the OEM.

I bought my Genesis Coupe in December 2012 and my Ford F150 in January 2013. The Genesis battery went dead in December 2018 and the Ford battery in January 2019. Is this 6 year battery now a planned obsolescence?

All batteries from Walmart have a date tag on it so possibly this site has batteries that are 3-4 years old.
The website seems Walmartish with colors and layout but it does seem fishy. Even though a credit card can be used it may be hassle getting refunds if needed...

Could be, but if you are getting 6 years out of a battery I wouldn't complain. I would be happy with 3 years.

I do WM batteries for some stuff like riding mower or ATV. They seem to hold up ok, and even if only 75% the service life (I think it's more like 100%) compared to others, the low cost and being right down the road is worth it. NEVER had a warranty issue - test the battery, it fails, take brand new one home. The one I use for my clay thrower I kill a lot. Gets used infrequently, and when I do use it, typically run it down pretty bad. When not in use, it sits on my garage floor, baking in summer, freezing in winter. WM replaces it often.
But I will generally go to Advanced Auto first. With the generous coupons they often have, buy it online, pick up at store. Store will still install if you want. Store takes the core & refunds to the debit card you bough it with. Works out cheaper than a WM battery of same size most times. I don't know about warranty - I've never had their Gold (middle level) one fail within warranty to find out.

Okay, so I went down today and got two batteries from Big Wally, got them home and was going to put them in. Surprisingly they didn't have any handles or straps to carry them or to let them into the base and I had a bear of a time installing them. I never thought to check for handles.
