Here is your solution to all your problems, if you want to spend a little time. Build an open box out of plywood (reinforced with 2X4's). Make the back side to hinge open (like a tailgate). Put some casters on the bottom. Build it the size to fit inside of your dump trailer. Paint it so it does not absorb "trash juice" and can be sprayed off. Then build a small raised deck (at the same height as your dump tailor) this deck will hold the box. Dump the trash into the box just like you do now with trailer. When it is time, back the dump trailer up to the box put a small "bridge" board down (maybe hinges out from the deck), and pull it into the dump trailer. I would use a cheap ($65) winch from harbor freight for this. Keep the box attached or pulled up to the front with the winch so that at the dump you open the "tailgate" of the box and lift and dump the trailer, bumping the box. Back at the house you would unhook the winch and use it to pull the box out the the trailer and back onto the "deck". Nobody would steal this setup and it frees up your dump trailer. Just some advice from a guy that can spend days of work and and a hundred bucks to solve a ten dollar problem!

Where we live there's a county dumpster site about 4 miles either direction. One is a compactor style the opening is about 4ft. high off the parking area. A truck bed only about a foot or so above it.
The other has four large dumpsters that have a large funnel shute.
So that little trailer you would just back up to and with a HF trailer jack lift it so stuff slides into it.

Have friend did the same thing but put it on a good pallet and used forks on tractor to move it around.

Yea, I wish I had gone with that instead. I own a few properties, so being able to leave a roll off at each place would have been better.

I may sell this dump trailer and buy a small roll off trailer with 3 or 5 bins. Make one bin custom with spreader gate, so I can lay gravel for example.

At work we buy the large uline plastic laundry carts. The are 1/2 yard. We then weld chain to the bottom of the cart, and use a packer truck winch to pick the plastic laundry cart, and dump into the truck. Since we own the carts, we don't pay a rental fee, and the pickup per 1/2 yard is $20 in NJ.

Very cost effective.
