I went to pick up some drywall compound and noticed the small bucket is less than a gallon and the big bucket is now 4.5 gallons. :-(

Wandering through the grocery store, I see Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee canned pasta for 88 cents. Not real great food, but OK for a quick snack. On the shelf directly above is a special super deal 4 pack of the same varieties for $3.98
Took me a second or two of Bodine style cypherin' to realize that wasn't such a super deal. Then I noticed the cans in the 4 pack were 14 ounce while the individual cans were 15 ounce.

Has anyone noticed that 5 gallon pails of things like paint, driveway sealer and foundation coatings only contain around 4.75 gallons?
